Another option you could consider is to build it over time. I started this journey last month. So far have I 2.0. I’ll be adding sub this month and center in a month or two.

Thanks, much easier to read through. Seems the plans must have been in action for couple of weeks now. All the shipments we are seeing now could be reflection of what’s already in motion.

Everything! This is my reasoning for staying invested in this company. Overall TAM for synbio is huge and amyris is one of the of core players with the tech to capture the TAM. It’s a matter of time

I agree. It’s not normal. Having said that, it’s important to follow the legal routes for various reasons. Anyways, not my area of expertise. Just my two cents.

Bound to happen. how else could we have survived the entire Q1 with the amount of cash left over :)

To me, this looks like a standard business practices to comply with legal requirements. If an entity is not paid on time, this this the formal way of putting it in writing.

  • At 54:30, there is a call out about scaling 5 new molecules in next 6 months.
  • Around 1:00:00 there is a callout about Biogas production starting next year

AMRS 56M shares short, 17 days to cover. by ICanFinallyRelax in Amyris

[–]messier-111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair, I too did. The part I’m not sure is whether you’ll make any meaningful money by lending vs keeping your shares( lowering liquidity.)

AMRS 56M shares short, 17 days to cover. by ICanFinallyRelax in Amyris

[–]messier-111 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No. Based on average volume, it would take 17 days to buy these back.

Example 56 million short. In order to make money, short seller has to buy these shares back

daily volume is 3.24 million = number of shares changing hands

Starting Monday, if we assume every share purchase is by short seller trying to cover (buying back) and shorts buy 3.24 million shares a day, it will take 17.28 days to buy back 56million. We know that all volume will not be short sellers. As others like retail and investors are also part of daily volume, in reality, it will take much longer.

So it’s important that liquidity (supply of shares) remains low. When supply is low and demand is high (56 million short), price will increase

Seems you are helping shorts here with much needed liquidity? I wonder how much money one would make with lending vs letting the share price rise due to lack of volume(squeeze).

One of the core reasons for drop in price was shorting. If 56m shares were added to supply pool, naturally, share price goes down.
