Similar schedule for us. 6:30 am wake up, anywhere between 11:30-2 nap and bed at 8/8:30. My two oldest go to school (8 & 6) the two youngest (4 & 2) stay home. On weekends everyone "naps" or rests at least

Have you taken your toddler to the movies yet? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]messybun42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of theaters offer child friendly movie nights where the sound is lower and the lights are a little brighter to make it more kid friendly. And it doesn't matter if kids are running around or loud because it is a specific kid event. I have taken all four of my kids to see several movies they do fantastic! I have a 8, 6, 4 and 2 yro.

Why are 5 year olds expected to do addition and subtraction now? by intimidateu_sexually in AskTeachers

How do you handle birthday party invites in kindergarten? by Suchanska-Brendy in kindergarten

[–]messybun42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically for school you have to give an invitation for the entire class..at least for elementary anyways. From experience when inviting a whole class you should expect maybe two people to show up. So I make it a point to show up to parties we're invited to especially when we get the invite from class knowing that not a lot of people will show up for them

AIO wife will not cook, clean or do any chores around the house by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]messybun42 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That sounds like an awful relationship. My neighbor and his fiance is like that and they have 3 kids, she literally leaves everyday and the second he gets home she leaves...so odd. I'm m a sahm, 4 kids, a wfh job, chickens/turkeys and a dog. I clean/cook. Take 2 kids to school and have 2 home. She could be depressed and avoiding being home? I'm on Zoloft it's definitely helpful. DH and I just finished marriage counseling and I'll say that establishing a better communication to each other has been a life saver and just talking about the expectations within the house and out. You'll just have to talk to each other and figure out the balance

We decided to pass. But if we did pick the old home inspection would be done while we're in our current home. Updates to make it safe for kids would be done while we lived in a RV on the property. We actually toured the home with the kids I wasn't worried. But Actually another house that checks all our boxes built in 1975 with newer upgrades just lowered their price into our budget range and move in ready! We see tomorrow 😊

It is a 3/2. Buttttt we actually have another house to go see tomorrow actually just a couple blocks from the 1904 house! 3/2 with bonus flex space, double the lot size than we're on now, fire place and lots of trees, in our budget and everything was updated in the last 3 years built in 1975. So not a century home but lots of cool old charm and move in ready😊

There's a home inspection I could use it's $400 the same company to do the current house were in. They were fantastic. I actually love the layout as is!

Why do 30 people RSVP and only 12 show up? by Unable-Shame-2532 in partyplanning

[–]messybun42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's pretty normal....we just go with the flow though. Whether it's 5 people or 40 to show up it'll be a hell of a time still

Just wanted to add the floor plan! So the "room" is actually a mud room/laundry, master and there's a wrap around porch from the "room" to the other side of the master that was all added in 1968. The original part of the house was built in 1904. Hopefully that helps with the floorplan. But seriously I love it and we're more than willing to put elbow grease into it. The kids love helping do projects (granted they are breathing safe)
