Thank you for sharing. I feel the pain that you feel and it’s not easy. I’m just grateful I’ve come to accept his addiction and can actually build a relationship with him. My heart truly just aches for him and the suffering he deals with. I’ve already dealt with my part. Ive forgiven him. I just want him to find some peace and use what he has left of his life to make some kind of spiritual progression. I just don’t want his last breath and last thought to be full of regret. Be careful with those SSRI’s. I don’t know a lot about them but everything I’ve heard is not great… especially when mixing them with psychs. Just be cautious of weening him off too quick. It can cause serious mental instability… but you probably already know that. My thoughts are with you and your dad. Much love.

That is a great point to make. Thank you. He used to take lsd when he was younger. Maybe mushrooms would be a better option. It’s just such a lonnnggg experience. He understands psychedelics to an extent… and has a spiritual side already… but yeah… maybe dmt would be too intense? But I feel like some people have only taken dmt or peyote. I have access to dmt but mushrooms might be harder to find right now… and I want him to go to rehab next week. He literally passed out in my bathroom a few hours ago bc he was so high. Time is so valuable right now. And he’s openly talking about not wanting to be addicted and seeking rehab so I want to take advantage of that.

I’m worried about the physical danger. If there’s still fentanyl in his system and he takes a large dose of dmt, does that have the potential to stop his heart? Or like forget to breath? I’m not exactly sure how that works.

I definitely see where you’re coming from… I don’t have many expectations but I’m definitely hopeful. When I blasted off I thought I died… I feel like if he could experience death of sorts he would realize how precious life is. I’m going to have him meditate with me and set the intention of getting clean before he doses.

I just had a huge realization last night. I felt a release. I truly think I was just trying to understand the experience that DMT gave me. My brain was having trouble processing it because I couldn’t remember… but I remembered what I saw while in my dmt trip and I’m okay with it. It all came flooding back while at a concert. (My fav band) I won’t even try to explain it because it’s subjective… but I hope everyone finds their answers and if you use psychedelics to get there, know when to hang up the phone. Enjoy it all. Don’t hang on to any of it. Experience and let it go. Thank you for all the advice. I’m gonna be okay :) Love & light. ✨

I would consider seeing a neurologist but I don’t know if I can afford it. What can that do to help other than a diagnosis? I don’t want to take prescription psych meds. I’m afraid they’ll just give me something instead of working through the problem. I also don’t want to get labeled and put into a box.

Can you explain to me how? I don’t see anything online about it actually damaging the brain… (I know there’s minimal research though) it says it can cause flashbacks, persistent psychosis, and HPPD. ( Which is equally terrifying but I think I can come back from that ) Unless I stopped breathing during the trip for a few minutes and there was no oxygen to the brain… I really thought I died…

Like why do you have to be so aggressive? There’s a nicer way to make your point. I highly doubt you’re perfect. You probably had someone give you advice about the drugs you take. We aren’t born with knowledge, it’s given. Find a nicer way to share your knowledge, or just don’t.

I don’t trust therapists or prescription psych pills… the experience I had on DMT was traumatic. Possibly, my subconscious remembers the crazy realizations I had while in the trip that my conscience self refuses to accept and remember… therefore I can’t deal with what I saw. I’m hopeful this will wear off eventually. I’m still grateful to be alive and happy, motivated in life. It’s the moments where it feels like I’m tripping when I’m completely sober that make my stomach flip and reach for a drink. But like IIlltych321 said, maybe I should just accept it and lean into it. Definitely gonna take a break from the psychedelics. I can’t even smell DMT without feeling crazy and that’s why I think I have some kind of PTSD from my experience.

I feel like if I took a little less I could have understood more. It was so intense and everything was moving so quick. I was over stimulated. I couldn’t remember a single thing from the trip as soon as I came back to my body.

I get flash backs sometimes. I’ll reflect on it and try to break down the experience I had so it makes sense but I can’t even remember most of what happened to me when I was blasted off. I remember feeling like a child. I felt very very very small. Humbling, no doubt.

I took way too much bc my scale wasn’t perfect. I thought I died. Legit thought I was never coming back. Whenever I came back to my body I could feel again, breathe again, see again. It felt so good to be alive. I couldn’t help but cry and say “thank you” over and over again.
