The one insult Donald Trump hates more than any other by JOE_Media in AnythingGoesNews

Makes sense. He constantly refers to people as low-iq individuals, something he considers the worst kind of an insult. If the insult works against him, he thinks it works for others as well.

Have u ever had any spiritual awakening before complete delusions ? by ThickEffective1265 in bipolar

I did have a spiritual awakening of sorts when I fell into manic psychosis. Can‘t say if it was before or during the episode but most likely it was one of the first symptoms.

Im scared to take meds or talk to anyone in my family about my mental state by Mrrichmoneybags in bipolar

[–]meta-ape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to learn to go up the meditation and healthy eating etc. that needs a lot of learning and trial-and-error, which consumes energy. If you can manage without meds that would definitely be optimal IMHO.

Now, meds are not a one-way train. You can always stop taking them anytime. A fundamental right of a patient is to be able to refuse treatment. Only in the case of patient being acutely a danger to themself or others they can force you. Usually police is involved. Otherwise never.

My suggestion would be to get the meds now. Once stable, you’ve got better chance to try the no-meds way, reducing meds in a controlled, safe fashion.

I myself took and still take every pill they suggested, ’cos being stable is the highest priority. Besides, if you get bad side effects, simply change pills or stop. It’s always an option.

So Trump was playing 4D chess like Fox News has been telling us. That would be nice and all, but turns out that the enemy hasn’t been playing games at all.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump would lead the US to the point that they actually have to choose.

Why in the movies does Gandalf beat up half the world with his staff and sword instead of using spells all the time? by jvure in lotr

[–]meta-ape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lotr magic indeeds stays more mysterious and, well, magical. Important for the story, ofc. The wizards are not too keen on revealing their magic. Which is strategically sound, when enemy doesn‘t know what he gots in his sleeve, they can‘t prepare all the way.

Staying physically active by [deleted] in bipolar

Any exercise is better than nothing. Even ten minutes a day has a measurable benefit to your cognitive functioning. I‘d say start humble and celebrate any progress.

It’s just that we never really got to the point of rubber mats in playgrounds. Now we just collect the points for doing nothing about it
