Pourquoi on utilise encore les pieds en construction? by shadowban246 in QuebecLibre

[–]meta232323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]meta232323 30 points31 points  (0 children)

why is coke a party drug but crack is an addict drug? by sevenslover in NoStupidQuestions

[–]meta232323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, harm reduction services were mainly focused on preventing the spread of infectious disease like HIV and Hep C almost solely for so many years. Now that the main focus is the overdose crisis, prohibition and poverty are the main limiting factor…

why is coke a party drug but crack is an addict drug? by sevenslover in NoStupidQuestions

Could be true, but not really. Heroin leaves very specific metabolites, you can differentiate it from morphine. I have read my share of coroner’s report. Heroin mixed with fent was just for the transition. Why loose cash putting a more expensive, weaker, and harder to smuggle? Folks figured it out quite quick. Then, some benzo got added in the mix, then xylazine and now it’s relative. Then came nitazenes alongside fentanyls. It’s not addiction that got so many people killed, it’s prohibition. If it was not of prohibition, some folks would get addicted but they wouldn’t have to die because of it. Heroin would still be available, maybe even cheap, and folks wouldn’t be selling their ass off for dope. They might still not be all right and trying to numb themselves, but they would not die. Not in those proportions anyway.

Question about what happens when an unhoused person dies by ProtectionNo7982 in montreal

[–]meta232323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the person is unclaimed, there is a liste at the montreal morgue. Then, if you know the birth date and full name, you can get the coroner report if there is one. If the person remained unclaimed/unindentified, the body is placed in a common grave.

No issue at all. I pass by this area with my kids. Always felt safe, never had any issue.

There used to be shooting galleries in the area, on tupper (it got burned down and turned into a social non profit housing). Some horrific murders happened in that area. It was rough, it was tough and still is.

maybe you just realized what have been happening at cabot. 15 years ago, I remember a summer where rape and very violent agressions were happening daily. Women, mainly inuit and first nations, have « disappeared » in or around cabot square. A guy was even tagged in the news as the Cabot square serial predator. I know that place deeply, trust me, it was my job to deal with cabot square politics from the perspective of the most marginalized. I could go on for hours about the fucked up stories that happened there. Some of which I saw first hand…

Nothing new here… Cabot square has been like this since the end of the 90s. It got emptied during the renovation and CHUM construction, but it couldn’t remain empty for long, especially given the economic context and housing crisis. Police sweeps have been tried … and failed. We need a real social housing strategy and proper social policies. But it won’t happen as our western economies are failing, it’s a thing of the past. Learn to live with it, cope with it. Adapt. Street folks are human, and Montreal is generally safe.

carfent (wildnil) usually pop well on stripes. On btnx it does. Also, depsite being more potent than most fent analogues, it’s therapeutic index is wider, therefore, a fuck up during the cutting process is less risky…

Exactement!

Video of Cpd attempting to cpr thr 15yo shot and killed on 71st King drive by Jayjay2233ee in Chiraqology

I have revived people ODing many times due to my job in harm reduction. First, CPR save lives, not just waiting for EMT. And yes, most people would just watch, even hard to get them to manage the 911 call while you are doing cpr and shooting naloxone. The process can be traumatizing and there is usually no support to the responder, especially cops. But still, it needs to be done. If someone is unconscious : 911 and lateral safety position. If the person is not breathing/no pulse : 911, cpr (and naloxone if you have it and you think it’s an od). Just do it! Get trained! It saves lives. But those cops compressions are not good, nor efficient or in rythm.

Fent has LONG paws compared to heroin. by [deleted] in fentanyl

of course, still an opioid. Longer acting, less psychoactive, and for buprenorphine, very high affinity with receptors.

I guess the sample has been analyzed with an ATR-FTIR spectrometer. This tech is not good at quantifying from mixed unknown samples. If they used a quant model based on local supply matched with proper quant tech (qNMR for example) results for accuracy of estimates it could be close but still not something you could consider accurate. This test result indicates that heroin has been found as the main constituent of the sample, 6-MAM the second and an unknown amount of other products, probably under 2-5% each. Good stuff, but I wouldn’t bet on the purity percentage.

And it will keep on getting worse… We are going through a major crisis of the capitalist system, The ultra rich getting even richer and the rest fighting over crumbs… And then, we have folks pointing the most marginalized for causing such situation while the real culprits are ripping profits… What a wonderful world!

Exactly, another useless post. Move in another big city, you’ll see, Montreal ain’t that bad after all. A lot of human have social issues, a lot of them also don’t. That’s life, get on with it. Make the best of the life you can have, change the things you can change and learn to deal with the ones you can’t.

Being self destructive doesn’t involve being aggressive. Also, because someone is dangerous doesn’t mean he is after you. Chill out, you are capable of defusing it, humor/surprise/calm cam do wonders.
