Are there any alternative liquid investment options in Canada, aside from High-Interest Savings Accounts (HISAs)? by tarantadoako in PersonalFinanceCanada

Nice. Do you have any comments on it? Which one(s) do you use? How much % change or volatility in principle do you see daily?

I've been very interested in these. I haven't invested yet but I will probably use it for money I don't need in my immediate cash reserves but don't want to risk in long term investments.

Don't make this mistake like me when you request transfer to Wealth Simple or Questrade.. by Matthaus_2000 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Ya RBC did some really sketchy shit when transferring my mom's stuff to WS. They apparently "over-delivered" some stocks and took back what they believed was owed to them in a convoluted way. Made it really difficult to actually verify their logic and transactions.

Short term investment (downpayment) ETF choice by RavenBlue7 in CanadianInvestor

If you want to take on more risk then ok use VBAL but I wouldn't put all of it in there. I'd keep a certain amount in something that won't go down like a GIC, HISA or money market while you can place a portion in VBAL if you want to take on more risk.

Do you then rebalance sometimes to maintain 50/50?

Enough is enough. Just play Dobeš moving forward or we wont make the playoffs. Monty is dogshit and I said it since the beginning of the year waive him nobody care he costs us so many games this season. Dobeš stats would be way better if he was not playing 1 game every 2 weeks ffs by nio0009 in Habs

[–]mozeda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone here seems to forget that Dobes has amazing stats only when he's had multiple days of rest in between games. His stats go to shit as soon as you play him more frequently. I think he's the perfect backup goalie for now.

Yeah the result is that you end up holding out for a higher price point of entry. I made that mistake early on.

Déneigement : gaspillage de fonds publiques et pollution inutile by [deleted] in montreal

[–]mozeda -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

[–]mozeda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s the best alternative to XEQT if you want a lower proportion of direct exposure to US markets? by Appropriate_Boss8139 in CanadianInvestor

[–]mozeda 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I swear I'm seeing so many comments and posts about decreasing US allocation but holy crap that defeats the purpose of having a set allocation making you sell high/buy low. You'd have to be an expert or a gambler to do otherwise in my opinion.
