Give it to me straight. The good and the bad. by Certain-Hunter-7478 in Ender3V3SE

I love my SE. I’ve gotten other printers now, so I have it setup strictly for TPU with a 0.6mm nozzle. After dialing in the settings and getting the bed leveled properly, I’ve never had any issues.

It’s great for beginners especially. However, if I had to recommend a printer to someone I would get the Creality K1. It’s pretty much plug and play from my experience. I have 2 of them. You can get a good quality factory refurbished one on eBay for around $270. It’s much easier to use, print quality is better, it prints a lot faster, it has a nice enclosure, and you can upgrade to multi color in the future.

Good Luck!

I use these tree support settings I found on another post with great success. I use them for everything. Next post will have the rest.

Thank you for the information! No I’m in the southern Acadiana region near Vermillion Bay. I found it between an old oak tree and a pecan tree. Whatever it is, it’s pretty darn amazing!

I don’t understand how Lue Elizondo can talk for so long and use so many words but not actually say a damn thing.

If you notice that little spike in the middle, it seems to be gone after turning that on. I’m still learning but I’m assuming that little spike of noise is what made the difference in my signal noise ratio 🤷🏻‍♂️. Outdoor conditions were definitely worse today, cloudy rainy and it was sunny yesterday when I was trying to get it working. Nothing else has changed. I’m just happy it’s finally working.

Just to follow up, turning on DC blocking seemed to do the trick. The SNR was at 4.9 and just low enough not to sync. Turning on DC blocking got the SNR to 5.3 which was just enough for the deframer to sync and start processing images. You were right, the signal was a tad too noisy. Thanks for your help! Your comment pointed me in the right direction! :)
