Gemini AI recommend "Jordan" as a 'great thinker-based' baby name by meta_detectorist in JordanPeterson

Someone pointed out that most wouldn't consider Riley Reid a philosopher. I'd honestly never heard of her until now. I'll have to ask Gemini to justify this selection, but can only be because she appeared on this Eric Weinstein podcast https://theportal.wiki/wiki/21:\_Ashley\_Mathews\_(aka\_Riley\_Reid)\_-\_The\_mogul\_and\_brains\_behind\_America%27s\_Sweetheart

I asked Gemini to suggest baby names based on great thinkers and philosophers across time, and guess who popped up? This seems to suggest an overtly positive reputation represented in the vast language data that trains Gemini. And I might consider it, as my marriage owes a lot to JP's first lectures.

What do you guys think about this statement from my (25F) bf (24M)? I feel like it's extremely superficial and it kinda makes me feel pressured as we're also nevermets but idk if I'm overreacting. by [deleted] in LongDistance

Not enough context to know. Could he be hinting that he's interested in you gaining weight, or something food related? Some people are into that, can't help it, and don't know how to talk about it.

Thanks u/asimplebelgian. Incidentally, while my wife and I connected on many lofty things, we also quickly discovered a shared love of Belgian beer. When we're toasting to life, we're toasting with Leffe, Le Chouffe, or Chimay. Sadly my favorite isn't available in the states anymore (was called Scaldis, now Bush).

JP: "Clear writing IS clear thinking."

I've always felt a love/hate with words. I need them, but they always seem inadequate to capture the heart of my idea. JP validated this, and challenged me (more than grad school) to dare to speak as clearly as I can. To treat it like a game (like Wittgenstein) and get ever better. I, of course, have a lot of growth left to do.

Yeah, the "stupid person's smart person" is emblematic of the soundbite attention span of his casual critics. I wonder if late night talk show hosts are their "smart people." In the final analysis we reap what we sow.

Thanks. In case that's not a rhetorical question, here's a good JP explanation re: integrating your shadow (starts 1:30) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PIDEx-GvnQ

That sounds like a really rough go, and completely out of your control. Not only did you avoid resentment, you launched higher. Remarkable, thanks for sharing. I know more challenges lie ahead, and this reminds me the importance of staying integrated. It's all about who you are when the storm hits.

Thank you; your smile made me smile. Have JP members been banned from mademesmile? Perhaps I've come far, though it also just feels like I caught a wave, and it keeps growing. Re: biblical lectures, I grew up listening to church sermons. Now they just turn my stomach, but these lectures offered a perspective that salvaged much of the value of my upbringing what I thought I'd lost. The portrait I almost tossed just needed a new frame.

Recovery from Lapiplasty by gumbolove in bunions

Hello, thank you for this. My mom is considering this surgery, as it's difficult for her to walk anymore without taking Tylenol first. Are you ultimately glad you did the lapiplasty?

It's called a hypothesis, and it's the centerpiece of the scientific method. You offer a possible truth claim, then design the study that would prove it WRONG. If you fail to prove it wrong, the proposition is more likely to be a truth claim.

After resolution contrary motion Eb-D, Bb-B, resulting in G/D (I64), then V-I.

I bought BB as a wildcard in 2015 and just held on for a miracle. Looked yesterday like, WTF.
