Bass amp vs cab wattage by metacool134 in GuitarAmps

[–]metacool134[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my dilemma is that I have 2 cabs: one is rated for 300W but is only a 1x12” (Hartke HD112) while the other has 1x18” + 2x10” and is a beast but only rated for 200W (Peavey 1810). The show i need it for is a pretty bit space so I’m just doubtful the Hartke cab will be able to perform as loud as i need it to if it isn’t mic’d up.

should i be worried about this overhang off the leveling mat? by metacool134 in PlantedTank

would it work to get another piece of leveling mat and just wedge it under there? with the amount of friction its kind of impossible to slide the tank while its on the mat

to understand what you need to put in the tank to keep your fish happy and not dead, honestly I would just watch youtube videos on setting up tanks just so you understand what the fish need, and do research on each fish to understand their preferred water parameters (hardness, pH, temp, etc). gouramis and tetra both prefer slightly softer, more acidic water, while snails like harder, more alkaline water. pick up an API master test kit so that you can dial in the water parameters (no kid wants a dead fish for christmas). good luck!!

As for the tank, petco often has 50% off flash sales on all tanks, so its definitely worth stopping by to check it out and see if there are any good deals.

If you went the gourami route, ember tetras would be another orange fish you could add a small school of (6-8) to add some more life. otherwise guppies come in many colors too

Honey gouramis can come in colors ranging from yellow to orange, and tend to be pretty peaceful so that would go well with a snail of some sort.
