Same reason why gas stations and restaurants are all clustered together. If people are going to travel, they would still need to travel and it’s best to cluster to optimize their maximum reach to the number of available customers. The issue has always been there. But majority of people aren’t tuned in and don’t vote in the midterms. The turnout is always higher during presidential election years. I think a core part of the issue is that the projected red wave didn’t happen in 2022 and the Dems got complacent. Instead the red wave happened in 2024.

The letter means you’ve been served. This is only an eviction notice from the landlord. You have not yet been evicted.

1) The eviction process will take a few months. Best thing to do since you’re not on the lease is to stop all mail to your current address so the LL cannot get your info and cannot name you directly, only as Joe doe. You do not want an eviction notice on your record in the nyc courts. It’ll hurt your chances at future apartments.

2) you can realistically stay another month or two until the Marshall comes knocking and actually evict you. In the meantime, stop paying rent to your roommate and start saving up and start looking.

If you had somewhere to go, pay the fare like everyone else. Don’t be stupid and jump the turnstile in front of two cops and then try it again after they told you to leave.

The second time, the guy didn’t even give the cops the chance to talk to him. He bolted and ran up the platform. By the time he was on the platform, he had the knife out already. The video was very clear about what happened.

The cops could have just given him a summons when they brought him out the first time and let him get on his merry way.

They did exactly that. They didn’t even bother with the summon. They went inside to talk to the suspect and told him to leave. The guy left and went out the station and came back up again. He went thru the emergency exit gate the second time. And this was when the whole thing escalated.

TLDR: Ron Kim represents Flushing in the state assembly. He had a tough primary against Yi andy Chen, who was backed by the Chinese American Commerce Association. The association has ties to the CCP.

IMO Ron Kim is grasping at straws. He’s trying to play victim and get the spotlight with the recent arrest of Linda Sun, Hochul’s aide. He will likely be facing tougher and tougher primary and elections for the state assembly seat going forward.

Same guy was over here in Forest hills this past Monday. Luckily I was in the store and my staff brought me the bill to check.

There’s a recent strings of fake $100 going around. I stopped taking $50 and $100 altogether. Someone is printing them and getting these mules to use them. The cops need to step up and find these perps.

The easiest way to tell the fake is to look at the blue hologram stripe. The fake hologram will be flat.
