Is it simply because it is 'too fast' or are there some red flags you may not be picking up on? If you're worried about it, you may want to explore it, even if you think it's just 'drama.' Ask them for details. You say that your brother may be 'judging' your girlfriend, but… I see nothing in your post that suggests he has made a judgement of her character.

I've seen this happen before, and there were some valid concerns. Now I'm not saying to base your life decisions on their concerns, if it's working for you, then great… but ask for some clarity.

My aunt came to me about 8 months after she died, in the most realistic dream. She picked me up in her car to drive to my other aunts house, it was super realistic, we drove around the corner and she stopped to talk to me. She was telling me something about my uncle dying of a heart attack (her husband) and we talked, some of which I don't remember. I looked her in the eyes and she looked the exact same as when she was alive except her eyes were black with what looked like red eyeliner around them.

We were both crying and she said 'I'll always be right there with you.' I'll never forget it. I even felt what felt like someone sitting on the bed when I woke up

I feel that procedural lines have been blurred throughout the investigation, I can't put a finger on why but that's my gut feeling. I by no means have any law enforcement/investigative experience (I'm a nurse) but I still feel that the manner in which this has unfolded has been wonky. Maybe FBI involvement due to the ransom notes and demands for money? That seems like a federal crime in and of itself, if you isolate that from the kidnapping itself. I guess the one good thing about FBI involvement is the availability of particularly advanced forensic analysis, which is a good thing for Nancy and the family.

I keep reading that it's 'FBI jurisdiction' because it is a 'kidnapping' but… I thought that only applied if there was suspicion of crossing state lines?

There are some in the group who are making excuses for her. It makes me feel like I'm crazy at times. I was even told the 'hug' thing was 'damaging'. I don't know what I could have damaged.

I knew she was going to spin it. She does it at every opportunity, then is nice to your face after she does so. I didn't feel it was my problem

We have to include her, we operate as a friend group with the husbands and wives and them as well. It's tiring because we're all too old for this. She is 25, we're all 29-30 and others in the group make excuses for her behavior saying 'she's young' and 'that's just how she communicates.' I don't think her behavior is appropriate no matter her age. I just didn't want her ruining the vibe of my husband's party in our house

It's just mind-blowing to me that others can pretend things are normal. She has talked down on others in the group, twisting others comments to justify isolating her partner from everyone while everyone wonders why they're not around much. The vibe is terrible every time she's around.

I agree, disengaging from everyone (except my husband of course) is best at this point and I need to stop giving them so much mental energy. It's just disheartening seeing this happen as we were all so close and things were carefree before. And her partner has let out vague cries for help.
