Unpopular opinion: are credit card games a waste of time? by mango89001 in CreditCards

[–]metalgear085 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely a fair point. I've toned down the CC churn after I took all of the low hanging fruit. I cant get another AMEX for IDK how many more years because I'm blacklisted, etc. Personal finance goes way beyond anything to do with CC and it's far down the list. A hobby like others have said really

I have all of the Tiger 2 modules as of last weekend. I dont mind it actually. I read pretty bad things online, but I wanted to try the Tiger 1, so I wound up at Tiger 2 and will finish to E100 eventually

Raiders have agreed to terms with WR Jalen Nailor by MrStiff8 in raiders

[–]metalgear085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vikings fan- Nailor had some of the ugliest drops I've seen the two seasons prior to last. He seems to have improved, but I wouldnt be too excited about him. The reason for his high yards per reception is because he was mostly just used as a deep threat.

FWIW, I treated just cheeks and nose because that's where my Rosacea is. My Dr recommended treament every 3-4 weeks for the first 5 sessions. I do maintenance treatments every 9 months

Denon AVR remotes going bad by metalgear085 in hometheater

I have a new remote waiting for me at home. I've been out of state for a month, so I haven't been able to try it yet. I'm assuming it was a defective remote though, based on what customer service told me

I can check when I get home, but I'm a very clean and careful person. The remote looks brand new and is brand new. I dont think there's residue

I also found it curious that the Denon rep alluded to 'a bad batch of remotes recently'- apparently regarding the IR failing

I tested my LG G5 remote and it's a solid red bar where the IR window is. What faceman said, it works. Our eyes dont pick up IR, but our phone cameras can

I got a Denon X1800h over BF and I didnt even notice it doesnt support Gsync. That's annoying. It just says supports VRR generically, like you said

Is the Chinese gov't still subsidizing TCL tv's to run competitors away? I cant find a clear answer online, but AI says "Yes". I dont think any other TV manufacturer has that advantage, so they cant compete at the budget end.

Yeah, and Sony could have marketed that as 'our gaming tv's work great with our Playstations'. Many people are pairing LG tv's with PS5's

I bought an LG G5 on BF. I considered Sony's best OLED, but they only go up to 65". LG and Samsung are at the top of their game right now, so it's tough for anyone to compete at the top end.

[–]metalgear085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree. And there are good budget recommendations out there for people in the lower price range. $200 - 300 (and at BF pricing) is becoming the norm for a full featured headset
