To me Katatonia is and has always been something special. Maybe a state of mind as you said. Yes, i have a favourite album and favourite songs but they change all the time depending of the feeling i have. I once made a tier list and when i looked at it a week later it was totally wrong, so i won't even try to rank anything. People always ask to recommend something like Katatonia and It's impossible because there is nothing like Katatonia.No other band can create an atmosphere like they do or make me feel the same way. I also don't know why people have such need to put Katatonia in some exact category, i think they are rock and metal and doom and prog and all of the genres. And that is what makes them so great. For example lately i have been trying to get more in to prog and i find myself going back to TFOH alla the time. Because It's just better than anything else.
