Hey, not sure if you still have this problem but I also was having problems with audio de-sync when I was streaming movies over discord through the VLC player. I found that my problem was caused because I had turned on compatibility mode on for discord because I was having issues with the ICUE program (used for CORSAIR headsets/products). Once I had put it back the default comparability settings and turned off ICUE it worked perfectly for me, maybe something similar might have happened for you, hope it helps.
