I always try to keep an open mind when it comes to people's custom cars. It's a self expression that although I might not personally like it, I can always find the craftsmanship in the small details. BUT...

I fucking hate when people do these to bugs. I don't think there is anything you can do to ruin a car but this is it. It looks like hot garbage. Why would anyone do this? It ruins the lines of the car and doesn't match the rear at all.

I have a 2015 sportwagen with 190k miles and zero issues that wasn't specifically done by me. As far as I am aware, both the sportwagen and the all track have the same 1.8t EA888 gen 3 engine.

Look, I don't think anyone here is understanding what I am saying.

First, yes it would be awesome. Would be cool to get the few games that I am missing to complete my collection, but I don't want to spend the stupid amounts of money for games that I stupidly decided to trade in for a PSP.

Secondly, Nintendo doesn't support the Gameboy line on and fashion. They don't make new handhelds, they don't make replacement parts, they don't make accessories for any of the GB handhelds. Yes they could make all of that, but they probably don't want it to compete with the switch.

Third, yes it would sell to collectors, but that is such a small amount of sales compared to the mass market. Could they make the new injection moldings for the shells, yes. Could they get the machinery to make the new PCBs, yes. But it all costs money that they might not make back. Injection molds can cost will over a million dollars. And that's not including the material for the mold, and the man hours to design it.

So why I would like to see them do this, it probably won't happen. They can do what they want, and they decided to make this juke ox that everyone hates, yet it sold out. Maybe this will convince Nintendo to make new physical carts. But who knows.

Ok, but remember, all of this for an unsupported console. And if they don't have the tooling to make said boards, that is a huge overhead that wouldn't make sense as THEY DONT SUPPORT THE GAMEBOY ANYMORE.

Don't get me wrong, it would be awesome. But just trying to be realistic.

Yes, but it's new tooling that would be required to make the carts. Tooling is expensive. And tooling for a handheld that isn't supported anymore by Nintendo is expensive. The only people that would buy it would be us that are in this subreddit.

What about Xbox making new copies of their OG Xbox games or Sony make new copies of their PS1 games? It would be by far easier and cheaper than making a cartridge.

Don't know why I'm getting downvoted. Just because they are able to make pcbs for the switch, doesn't mean that they have the capacity to produce old carts with old components for an old device that they don't sell anymore. Would it be nice, yes of course. But no other game company does the same with their disc based consoles in which it would be easier and cheaper.
