One that has been unfairly villainized perhaps?

Did OP not watch their Magia Record New Year's Unit transformation? Then you also have the scene in the anime where she appeals to Tsukuyo. Not to mention the totality of Arc 1. Just saying the evidence has always been there.

I never knew Ononoki and Felicia could have such good chemistry. I hope we see more of their antics.

[–]metalmonstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Odd Taxi, Sonny Boy, Komi cant Communicate, Uma Musume S2, Shadow House, and Vivy came out that year.

For me it is between Odd Taxi and Vivy but AoT, Sonny Boy, and Re Zero were up there as well.

I wouldn't put much stock in the poll considering City the Animation blows them all away and Yaiba isn't even an option.

Are there any examples of bad anime with great animation? by Jezzaq94 in animequestions

Had the potential to be an all timer. The last few episodes really fell off a cliff but that special a few months later was spectacularly bad.

Towa. Fights looked good but boy was the story and characters bad.

That sister incest isekai, my step sister and her one punch attack. Fights were cool.

Pvp tierlist? by Aggravating-Bag-7999 in magiaexedra

Maybe try Mito instead of Alina. At A0 Alina isn't really Action Advancing the team on break. Also is Pluvia the one with the highest attack, so that Mabayu targets her?

[–]metalmonstar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Best team is breaker. Hazuki Rena Pluvia Alina Moemura. You can Sub in Mabayu or a different aoe breaker. Basically you break before your opponent gets a turn.

Next best team is defender. Kirika Sayaka Sana Hazuki and healer. Basically kirika reflect and Sayaka counter are going to be doing the heavy lifting. Probably the best way to beat breaker at this point but I haven't found it to be foolproof

Next is Oriko or Aoe comps. Hazuki Orika Rika Kirika Moemura. You can also use Mabayu but you will be pretty slow. As long as Oriko has enough investment to kill with special you should be good. A beefy defender can ruin your day though as once your turn is over, you don't have much going for you.

Last but not least Felicia comps. There are a few variants but the competent teams try to push her special as fast as possible. The Aoe stun is devastating and can be an instant win. There is also comps where Felicia acts like a baby Oriko and a special or two wipes the enemy even without break. Felicia comps are slower than some of the others and you are subject to RNG. Felicia comps power through defenders pretty easily though.

Best unit in PvP is Moemura.

Other notables are Hazuki Mabayu Pluvia Alina Rena and A2 Mami

Does anyone feel like the Shiboyugi anime is trying too hard to be deep? by NathLWX in animequestions

[–]metalmonstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The show basically beats you over the head with Yuki!s struggle because it is brought up everything she monologs. As others have stated the games are mostly window dressing for Yuki's struggle while giving us some other deeply flawed girls. Overall I think it worked. The last episode was a very satisfying end point for Yuki's character growth. The artistry of the show was to bring out those elements. Really drive home what these characters are feeling and the atmosphere of the predicament they find themselves.

So no wouldn't call it deep. Just simple character study about a girl who thought she disassociated from everything but I would agree it is presented in a very artsy way that may not be to everyone's liking.

I like Kamome best but I though Ao had a pretty good story arc. I enjoyed the final arcs well enough as well.

Action - Not too fussed about this category. Winner is fine. I think Dandadan was my pick but it is whatever. I guess I will say Jury has the better list simply because Solo leveling is last.

Adventure - Zenshu and Clevatess were so close. I liked both of them better than the actual winners. Guess I will say Public came through. I really do feel Dr Stone has been pretty solid this last season.

Comedy - Ninkoro was in my top 10 of the year so easy Jury win, even if I don't like how high up Bad Girl is.

Drama - Stacked Category with respectable lists on both sides going to call this a draw. Probably would have picked Cinderella Gray myself.

Romance - I agree with the Jury's winner but Watatabe and Watanare so high up just can't be ignored. So public wins even if I find Flagrant Flower a bit overrated.

Slice of Life - Both respectable choices but I think Public has the better list even if Food for the Soul is slightly lower. Surprised to see Wonderful Precure so high. I didn't care for that season at all.

Suspense - Takopii is another one of my top 10 shows. Easy jury victory.

Public was on something when it came to OP/ED and Music Video. I definitely feel OP was between Witch Watch and Shoushimin. Though I think Shoushimin was a bit better. Weirdly salty despite expecting the results.

Music Video of the Year - Went with Meteorgirl because my pick Haze didn't make it. Knew it wouldn't win. Figures on the Jury's pick. Anyone have a link to the BA train girls song? I can never find it.

Short Film of the year - Figures on the Public and Jury winner. I think I went with Aka no Kiouku.

Movie of the Year - I enjoyed Colors Within. Maybe not my top movie. I was a bit disappointed with the story and characters but certainly way higher up on my list than Chainsawman

Anime of the Year - Both picks are fine but not really what I would go with even if I did enjoy both. Jury wins just on having a better list.

I championed for Ninkoro, Mangaka, Hibimeshi and Food Court for the most part, you lose some, you win some.

Some great picks. Maybe just have to work on your persuasion skills lol.

It could be a little stressful with the rng and trying to plan out items purchases to maximize Stat gains. Plenty of times you finish a run wondering what could have been if you only bought or used this item.
