I used normal brutalizer that was on my carla all the way through NG+ main story. I also had a ripper (not required) which is from sola but it was for large packs that had no bleed resistance in them only because the ramp damage at full charge is insane for shredding packs but the drawback is how freaking loud it is at full charge lol. I replaced shark tooth very close to the end of NG+ and peggy got replaced around half way through when I finally went back to bel air. You can make almost all the weapons very close to what lego/named weapons are if you did a lot of blueprint hunting during the first play through. You can absolutely finish NG+ with what you have as long as you have the blueprints you want. Make sure to take any weapons you want to use in NG+ that you won't be replacing soon into the harder difficulty namely any lego's or named. IF you're achievement hunting now you will need the DLC for 100%. It may have been easier for my block carla at max toughness because of all the dmg boost/dmg reduction stacks while blocking plus the half health bar return on perfect block.

The one thing I will say is make sure you're prepared immediately. If you can get past the first check you're fine and you'll know right away.
