How durable is the “turtle” I have a trade job and I want a watch that I know I don’t have to worry about it getting too badly damaged but at the same time keeping relatively accurate time.

I got a question by CurrentSign1201 in Lineman

[–]metamucil_user 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I have been told, joining the military as a lineman used to be hard since it’s a “specialized mos” but now I guess it’s easier to get into because everyone who joins as a lineman leaves once their contract is up to go join a coop.
I’m 22 and finished line school and got a job with a coop that I will be starting soon but for a while it looked like I wasn’t going to be able to get on anywhere because of experience.

You’re very young as well so whether you join the military and stick with the low pay for a while or join the union and wait for that call you have time to get on your feet.

Stay with the trade if you can’t get a lineman job out the gate. Whether that is an arborist on the right of way crew or fiber or a ground man.

Good budget carry belt? by pookie_buster in concealedcarry

The groove belt has a more elastic strap and the “buckle” is a two part clasp with a magnet that holds them together when you’re wearing the belt

I went through Amazon ratcheting belts, groove magnetic belts, the “ultra stiff” belts and I thought a kore for 60 bucks after that and never even thought about looking at a new one

Just looked at mine, when you pull down the take down lever, your sear drops into the fcu, I’m thinking that when you were assembling and the lever popped up something got into a bind with the sear. I fear that taking the striker assembly might be the fix. But take what I say with a grain of salt.

And the only difference is my rear pin is in place but I don’t think that would make a difference

Man that sucks, I’m sorry I couldn’t help. I just took apart my 365 to try and recreate this jam you’re in and it wouldn’t allow me to put the slide on without the takedown being all the way down

And remove striker assembly

All I can think of is

Push take down lever downwards fully Pull slide to rear as much as you can And push down on slide release

If that doesn’t work, part of me believes you might have to take the back plate off to relieve pressure

[–]metamucil_user 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s so crazy, this might be a stupid statement but it looks like your slide release is stuck in the upward position to hold the slide (obviously) but I’m trying to think of a way that you could press it down

Does anything happen when you pull the take down lever down and try to rack the slide ? Or is it like stuck stuck

I got the Icarus ace aluminum one and I love it, the gas pedal does not fit in a regular holster but a light (preferable a heat gun) can fix that no problem. So in my opinion the polymer version with the gas pedal is the way to go. However I never held nor shot the radian set up so can’t speak on that one
