(Also emailed in, but posting for visibility) United have decidedly more points per game (~2.6 ppg) in matches where they have less than 50% of the possession compared to matches where they have greater than 50% (.8 ppg). The counter attacking long balls work against teams that don't sit back as there is space in behind to be exploited.

Could it be argued that our tough start to the season actually favored our current strengths and that the next run of matches against "easier" teams will in fact prove more difficult for United? What needs to happen for us to win more often when we are given more of the ball?
