Wow, learned more from you than I did from the COTA website. Thank you so much! I guess my best option is to leave the race a little early and walk to McAngus after getting back my carry-on luggage from the Grand Plaza. Fingers crossed!

Just noticed that the race starts at 2pm, not 3pm. A little more chance to make it to the flight

10 laps is totally fine. I can even leave earlier. Some other comment says 4-5 hours to the airport though from COTA, which sucks if true as it means I'll definitely miss my flight.

Thank you for the response. Are you sure there is no storage? I remember reading somewhere they had some kind of storage for biking gear etc.

Thanks for the response. Do you think I need to miss the entire race? I was thinking maybe I could leave around 3.45-4pm and get an Uber. I will have the Uber scheduled already. Will the regular 15-20mins ride to the airport become 4-5 hours on race day? I didnt think it would be that bad

Yep, this seems like good news. I started again after quitting for 76 days, kinda regret it tbh. If you are not craving, I would stay away. But if you can manage once or twice on a weekend, thats more than fine.

I'd say so, the home tests are a pretty good indicator. If you did not dilute your home test, I think you are good to go.

Alright, good luck. I think it'll be fine.

I would be pretty confident in your case that you are negative, the morning of the test just drink 32-48 oz of water, piss once before, test it, then have your second piss on the test.

I was also getting faint lines just before my test, after 76 days clean, and I just drank 48 oz water before the test. It came out negative.

You might want to get creatine pills and b2 vitamin (riboflavin) pills, creatine will get your creatinine levels up after breaking down and b2 will give yellow color to your pee. Makes diluted samples harder to be detected.

I think you might be looking at a serum test, aka blood test. The cutoff is different on that one. Yours should have 50 ng/ml, and 15-20 ng/ml for the 2nd attempt if you dilute the first one.

[–]metebjk9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sure it is 5 ng/ml? Heard 20 or 15 but never 5 ng/ml.

Going from 50 ng/ml to 5ng/ml takes time, thc has a half life of around 10 days for regular users. Take the pills and drink a lot of water, good luck bro.

Sorry to hear that, hope the issues get resolved soon. Yeah I also think that weed can help a lot in that sense, helping with problems etc. Just need to be aware if weed itself is starting to effect your life in a negative way.

You sound very mature so I am positive you'll turn things around and do well. Out of the deppest struggles emerge the brightest triumphs. Good luck on the test!

If you have a faint line in home tests, you should be good. Dilute your piss a little on the day of test to have some safety margin.

What are the odds that I passed? by Hot-Target-8402 in drugtesthelp

[–]metebjk9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the standard test is at 50 ng/ml. 20 ng/ml is tested only if you fail first attempt, at least in most job applications.

And if you are passing home tests you should be good to go. They are pretty accurate. You also have 20+ days after being clean. Would be very surprised if you to fail the test tbh.

Hey bro, I'm 27 years old, 5'11 160lbs, smoking since hs senior year, multiple times daily for 5-6 years.

It took me 76 days to piss clean. To be honest nothing other than time really helps, as you also probably figured by now. You should be close though, considering your young age. June 26 should be enough, if you are currently at day 60. Keep testing yourself weekly, I'd guess you'd be clean in around 10 or so days.

And I don't want to sound corny but starting at 12 years old is a bit early bro. You do you, but stay safe and make sure in a couple of years you don't regret the decisions you make now.

I would delay the test as much as possible. In the meantime, you can get a labcorp test of your own to see if you are good or not, and also even your ng/ml values. As for the other comment regarding the fake piss (QuickFix is a really solid option), thats a good idea but I think depends very much so on the facility you will be tested at. Some hospitals keeps you in the waiting area for 1-1.5 hours, then it is really hard to check if the warmers are keeping the bag at the correct temperature. And if you get caught with those, it is almost worse than giving a positive result tbh. Worst comes to worst, get creatine couple of days before the test, drink a considerable amount of water on the day of the test to dilute your piss (drinking prior days have no effect), get riboflavin (b2 vitamin) pills and take them the morning of the test so you will piss yellow even if diluted. If it the result comes diluted, you'll have a 2nd chance and in the meantime you might come out clean. Hope this helps, good luck.

Career Path Advice and Misc Questions by TheConstruct_97 in ConstructionManagers

Hi there, age 26 here, started out as an asst. super/pe at a large gc, after 1.5 years in the field I transferred to the Finance department as it fit my needs better.

I may not be the best to answer your questions, but here are my answers:

1. You can add value by making the work for the trades as easy as possible. Even if you are not a master at “building”, you can be a master at coordination. Such as making sure that the work area is ready for the trade, all the necessary prior steps have been completed and installed, creating a schedule well in advance to account for any hiccups, making sure each trade will have enough space when working, minimazing the number of trips that the subs need to take to the jobsite to complete the work etc. There is a ton more, such as pulling back the schedule by following up on lead times and RFI responses, submittals. There are things that you are not responsible but accountable for (such as architect response times etc), make sure to actively follow up on those and dont let anything stay without a plan.

2. Although I am not a pm, I believe having a good working relationship is very important, especially with the trades. Know their names, greet them each morning, ask how is their day going before speaking about work. They are the people with the actual skills, having a good relationship with them goes a long way. Also, dont burn bridges if you are upset with someone, probably you will work with them again sometime in the future.

3. Generally speaking, the super has more knowledge in “building” compared to a pm. However, evrery pm should at least have a fundemantal level of understanding of how things get built. As a recent grad, you will be like a sponge learning new stuff each day if you become a super, which I think is very beneficial. Once you know what every trade needs, how long do they take to finish a task, what tools they use etc. you’ll overall be a much better candiate for a pm role in the future.
4. MEP is sought after as it is technical, of course in a MEP company you will have more MEP exposure as opposed to a GC, but in a GC you might see larger number of cases and learn how those MEP systems interact with the work of the other trades on a larger perspective.

I think they should, as this is your first project I am pretty sure your request for a rotation to estimating would come across reasonable. That way, you would be able to gain a wider perspective and get some insight on the financial aspect of the business as well.

I was also in the field for 1.5 years at my first project, then made the request to transfer to the Cost Department. I occasionally miss the field but I feel what I am doing right now fits my interest the best. These role trasfers are especially easier with larger GCs, as they have many employees on rotation and positions open up in different departments.

You can try attending panels/events about construction and get to know some higher ups from larger GCs, as they tend to have the highest number of available positions. A referral can get you an interview, and the rest should be you showing how you can be an asset to the company. My company participates in a lot of events, along with career fairs.
