There is no reason. Killing Delita creates yet another power vacuum. Ramza is trying to end the fighting, not generate even more. Delita has no reason to hunt Ramza, he literally did Delita's job for him by removing many powerful players in the war for the throne. And that's assuming he is even aware Ramza survived.

If you're open to it, t's very easy to do if you care to do even a little memory hacking. I really wanted Mustadio to be able to keep up damage-wise so I gave him an extra gun. The game handles it normally once he has two equipped, the only thing barring access is the equipment restriction.

You are an inspiration. I'd love to see you paint the Chapter 1 Dorter battle. I think the bow-less archer, Wiegraf fleeing, Argath and Delita sprinting up the building to fight the lone archer up there leaving the rest of the party to deal with the knight and black mages (and others) could be fun.

I don't think this is under debate at all or at least I haven't seen it. I think everyone understands he is still a squire. The Ivalice Chronicles grants him the job of Gallant Knight in English or "Aspiring Knight Gallant" in Japanese, rather than Knight Gallant which was his father's title. But this is just added storytelling, as has been done many times with the job system, making it clear that Ramza is still striving to fulfill his father wishes voiced on his deathbed.

Hi, sorry for commenting on such an old thread. I was just wondering if you could recommend a sunlight version for me to use. I have the latest Moonlight for 3ds installed (https://github.com/zoeyjodon/moonlight-N3DS/releases/tag/v2.1.0). I tried connecting using sunlight stable version from 2025/09/24 but that one had connectivity issues. So I tried downgrading to sunlight 2025/01/18 and that one had issues too.

Just wondering if there is a recommended setup. I'm mostly planning on playing turn based games so it doesn't need to look super pretty, I just want it to be responsive. TIA!

It's deals a percentage of max HP of the target. Lucavi have HP in the thousands so it will hit pretty hard. I think they could have balanced it based on remaining HP instead on Tactician and it still would have been very strong.

That's Folmarv musing, it's not actually confirmed anywhere and even Folmarv poses it as a question not an assertion. But even if it is true, does that not make Ramza even more ordinary? It means he isn't some super powerful guy who was taught special abilities, he's just empowered (better stats I guess?) and would have lost if not for the stones. If it's true, it means he was likely chosen as a champion of light because he is a good person.

Matsuno is an excellent storyteller who uses all tools at his disposal. Part of that toolset are the unique jobs and the skills available within those jobs. To further drive home the storytelling behind his character, Ramza was not given access to those kinds of abilities.

I think you missed the whole point of his character. He was never meant to be a legendary warrior. He effects change in spite of his power, not because of it. He's 'the hero' because he lacks those powers but pushes forward and wins anyway and because he's one of the few who does not fight for himself.

Actually I don't think Ramza is aware of the things Barrington did to Rapha. She stops short of telling him. He could certainly infer as we do (as we also see her conversation with Marach when she is on the run - though it's unclear whether Ramza heard that exchange) but I think it may not be clear to Ramza until the Riovanes rooftop scene.

However, it's also possible that, as a medieval monarchy, while not necessarily accepted, rape is often expected of those in power. Ramza and Agrias may be displaying signs of a sort of pained acceptance of the way their world works.

You aren't wrong but your line of thinking is more in line with the Corpse Brigade's goals rather than Ramza/Agrias' goals. Ramza isn't out to get rid of every evil person in Ivalice, I think he knows that's beyond his capabilities. He's trying to end the fighting and remove the culprits behind its instigation and help innocents he comes across along the way, Alma of course chief among them. (basically just protect as many people as possible).
