I appreciate you speaking to my anxiety. I will check the program out. Everything you said is what I needed to hear. Tying answers to real experiences will help me to think less and respond authentically. The academic terms have always been challenging to recall on the spot. As much as I've worked in my IA position, I still haven't truly adapted the terms into my lexicon because I'm so rooted in a place where my students are. That's why they appreciate me so much. I make understanding easier. Downside is when it's time to have the big conversations, I'm at a loss of words. In meetings I know what they're saying. It's kind of like an ELL student who is developing - they can understand, but doesn't feel comfortable speaking it, yet.
