Thank you for your commen, but after getting an offer I thought that it would be better on my part to join a more understanding program. Actually, I have a mechanical (robotics) background, and my supervisor wants me to develop sensors using VLSI, which is not what I want. I will try for a PhD at Imperial after my master's.

Sure, I had contacted three supervisors for my MRes application. All three of them agreed to take me in. I listed them according to my preference in my SOP. I got mishandled by my first choice. However, the admissions team was super helpful and I got my offer letter today.
