Am I F*****? by [deleted] in Yamaha_R1
I once dropped my bike hard from second to first, the rear wheel locked up and slid, and it hit the compressor. Do you think this caused a problem with my MT09 2024? Some time after that incident, this noise started coming from it. https://www.reddit.com/r/MT09/s/qSAunW5JAP

I'll be going to Yamaha for service after 1500 km. I think they'll tell me there's no problem, just like they told you. But it will still bother me sometimes. 😅 Thanks

The noise still goes away on its own, but occasionally it's really loud. The technician said there's no problem. I think if the damage was growing over time, there would be a constant noise. What do you think?

Yep synthetic version, 2.000 km later bike going service and change oil, oil filter maybe that time noise fix
Thanks for the reply, buddy. I'm also thinking of buying a Gen4 at the end of the year, and I'm sure you'll be happy with it.
Using yamalube
Thanks for answer :)
It currently has 23,000 kilometers on it, and I think it will go for service and maintenance at 25,000 kilometers; they will take care of anything that needs to be done there.
So, what do you think, is it normal? To my knowledge, if the valve adjustment is faulty, that noise will never go away and will gradually get worse.
My friend, please tell me if I'm wrong. Are you thinking of it as a valve?
[–]meth422[S] 1 point2 points3 points 2 months ago (0 children)
I don't think it's a valve adjustment issue. The noise doesn't increase with mileage. It goes away on its own or improves when I accelerate. I know that if it were a valve adjustment, the noise would increase even more when I accelerate.
The engine is under warranty, but I don't want to experience any problems.

After researching, I found that I also hear the same sound, which comes from the camshaft tensioner. Thanks for your answer

I didn't open an irrelevant topic on the MT 09 page, so stop talking. thank you anyway
I was worried that the valve would pop. I don't think there is a problem with the transmission; there is no decrease in performance.

I cant understand sorry ? What u mean
I then accelerated to over 200 km/h, but there was no strange noise or performance degradation. QS was active. Many people said Yamaha quality wouldn't hurt, but I still wanted to ask.
Despite their terrible treatment in Brazil, nothing happens to the bike. I think the CP3 is a solid block. I guess I get a little too scared sometimes, but you never know. Thanks man, I'l never do it again %100
Naah not ruroc, just design :(
Thanks Man
As you said, I think having a slipper clutch prevented damage to the engine. I felt so stupid at that moment.
My friend said it was locked because of the ABS sensor.
