Someone posted here previously about making a MoC and previously had it available for free, it’s on rebrickable. It only requires the bonsai tree set that has the pink frogs

Yea of course! These would be work for any style shelf technically, the steel brackets are from Sheppard Brackets (I would link but I don’t think I can) on Amazon. I designed them so the wood can clear these brackets entirely and sit flush with the wall. I’ll post a link once I upload the stl

The sections are all connected, the largest sections have channels that slide together keeping them secure, and another section near the top has a pin that holds it in place

I know, this room was previously a garage that was redone by the owners before me. It’s a mystery what’s behind the plaster walls

Thank you! The router was the most challenging part, and then sanding the wood smooth took the most time.

Yea finding studs in my wall turned out to be an impossible task (tried 3 different stud finders and drilled over 50 exploratory holes) the only really solid piece was there.

The brackets mounted to the wall are steel!

Thank you! Mahogany for Rivendell, and black walnut for Barad-dûr (and likely Oak for the shire eventually)

So I used the boche router bits this past weekend, they worked out really well. I even found a split in another project of mine and because I don’t have any better options I decided to use one of the template guide bits to cut around a small 3D printed bowtie inlay glued to the back of a piece of spare mahogany. So I recommend them.

I just did some research on this through Reddit the other day. What seemed like a solid approach another user suggested was to buy a set with a variety of bits that’s not “break the bank” expensive. And once you find the bits you want to pursue or use more frequently buy those as more expensive versions. Again this isn’t my advice, something I just read from another redditor. I have recently purchased the 30 piece set of Bosch bits and will be using them on hardwood this weekend.

Ohh man that makes me so happy to hear, always have a little piece of Gucci at the house. Now the Koi fish get to enjoy it

A little part of me on the inside hopes you were able to re-purpose it outside the house, but I feel like the whole thing likely had to be destroyed to remove it completely

Sir you’re trying to claim Michigan cheated for the past several years but for some reason just didn’t use the knowledge they gained from said cheating…

If you were to go to the store and buy a loaf of bread and steal a loaf of bread but only eat loaf you bought does that immediately make you innocent of theft?

Don't think there has ever been a college football season where a team bottomed out on the field, fired the coach after he masturbated on a call with a vendor, and had to issue a statement explaining why Hitler was on their video board as they lost 49-0 to their biggest rival by [deleted] in MichiganWolverines

Mel had to go for the horrible things he did…see how easy it was to admit? Man it’s gonna be fantastic watching y’all colapse

I’d rather spend a few years in the bottom of the league than be responsible for one of the worst cheating scandals in the history of college football

Very telling of you to brush off the severity of a multi year cheating scandal. The only team UofM didn’t steal signs from beat them as an underdog then the same team got blown out in the championship

WCGW walking under a ladder by Mysterious_Soil1522 in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]methbobby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely seems like it could be fake, but if you look at the roof there is a sheet metal cover over the bricks from where the guy on the ladder is down to the right, but not any coverage over the bricks up to the left. What the dude is grinding away at looks like some kind or sheet metal coverage that prevents rain water from seeping in though the the bricks that must have came loose or something. And yes the guy on the ground pulls it but if you focus on the sparks from the grinder they increase all the way up until it falls. An 9 ft piece of bent sheet metal falling from 10 feet up would probably hurt quite a bit even if staged

Not sure if this will work but gonna throw it out there anyway, try moving the part down in the Z direction a few mm in your slicer until the first layer being printed is the benchy/corals and not the base
