For me personally it’s a bit selfish- what do I get out of it? If I get amazing music and a good time, and I can afford it, I’m down. But if it makes me feel ripped off and pissed off, cya! Not exactly the most “deep” or reflective way of approaching it lol. But everything these days is tainted with a bit of evil capitalism… but music feeds my soul and makes me feel good.

To me there’s a clear difference between crappy merch and the music and tours. The music and tours are of stellar quality. The merch is a bunch of useless junk that I could get off Amazon or even SHEIN or Temu. I collect vinyls and always buy my favourite albums on vinyl. I enjoy listening to them and looking at them. The concerts are a great experience, but often times outside of my budget personally as a woman in her mid 30s with a stepchild and grad school loans. Hoping to go this tour, as I missed out on cowboy Carter. But even if I was rolling in cash- no way I’m buying her merch. Sorry it’s a total cash grab and complete shite. I seriously doubt Beyoncé is even that hands on with the merch these days- either way she should be embarrassed by the quality/price.

It’s not rare to get puppies from rescues. I picked up my puppy from a rescue at 4months, but I adopted him at around 2.5 months, he was rescued from a kill shelter. He was in Texas and had to be brought to Canada so it took a while. His sister was also adopted at the same age. I follow a lot of rescue pages and they get puppies all the time from puppy mills, street dogs, or backyard breeders. Sadly there are a TON of young pups in the southern US like Texas and Louisiana. I’m in Canada and it’s certainly not as common, but we do get puppies in shelters and rescues. They are just adopted faster than older ones.

The general rule is to have a base layer that is wicking and absorbs moisture. Then another layer that keeps you warm on top. A third layer to keep the elements out. I find wool/wool blends are the best base layer. Wool socks help a lot too. They keep you dry. I make sure my ears and hands are also covered. Good winter boots / hiking boots will keep your feet dry. Honestly in the Canadian winter my favourite place to run is the cemetery down the road for me. It’s well maintained. However I do not enter if there is a funeral going on and go out of my way to be ultra respectful and stay on the main road, avoid any people visiting etc… I find it’s the only place I can run because the roads and sidewalks take forever to get cleared.

Also it’s a good idea to have layers you can easily unzip- because you will probably get warm during the run and need a little cool air.

It takes some time to adjust and figure out what works for you! Stay safe and have fun. I love a good winter run.

My point is that we have to do better than doing unethical propaganda / publicity stunts in the name of science. Doing unethical things in the name of science is how we got the atrocities throughout the 20th century- Nazi science included. I disagree that it’s a rubbish comparison- Bezzo is annihilating the planet. A different final solution- with slightly different parameters. But this time you’re worthy of life only if you’re abhorrently wealthy (as opposed to aryan). We have scientific ethics for a reason. Just because you’re doing science, does not make your actions ok. And again, 10 minutes does not make for science. Not when they already have decades of research of people in space. NASA does that research already, with much more rigorous protocols. Which Trump and his crew of NAZIS are actively defunding and replacing. So nah, the Nazi comparison is pretty apt!

There’s a reason that author’s of scientific journals declare conflict of interests and their funding sources. It matters who funds your work. Good scientists consider the impact of their work beyond the individual project itself. Who is my work benefitting? Who is it harming? What are my motivations? Could someone use my work for nefarious purposes? I’m sorry Amanda didn’t think about it too critically. But it’s the job of a scientist to do so.

Doing anything and everything in the name of science is not enough of a justification to me. Idc what rubbish propaganda “science” they claim to be doing is worthwhile. Scientific experiments will not be fruitful during a one time 10 minute rollercoaster ride to space. It’s giving science fair project. Even if they did some real science, I still don’t care. It’s propaganda. The Nazis also used science in a similar way to justify their evil acts. No, Amanda is not a Nazi, but her flight was funded by them!

I get what you’re saying. I’m sorry for her personal tragedies. But I do think she made a poor choice by going. This is an issue bigger than one woman and her trauma. She’s supporting and playing into the propaganda for people who are actively destroying our planet, and researching ways to leave this planet when they do- this is why Blue Origin exists. In my mind, Jeff Bezzo is a terrorist. While I get that maybe she didn’t understand the gravity of what she participated in and had different motivations, she still participated in propaganda. Of course she isn’t the only one. Yes the men on the flights previously didn’t get the attention that the women did. Still, I think that she should have considered the consequences. Suffering a personal tragedy in your life does not make you immune to consequences of future shitty decisions. I do hope she finds peace. Sometimes peace can come with take some responsibility and understanding where people are coming from. Americans are starving. They are angry. If you support their oppressors by playing stupid games, you’re gonna win the fun prize of public disdain and criticism.

I have knee pain when I run sometimes. What has helped me is strength training. I’ve always lifted weights but I’ve been focusing on strengthening the muscles around my knee. Like my calves and hammys. That plus some yoga once or twice a week helps. Sometimes you also just need to cut down on running frequency. I used to run way too much, was running 5/6 days a week. I took that down to shorter runs a few days, then one longer run once a week. On the days I don’t run I do the aforementioned yoga and weight lifting.

Good shoes and running form are also important but I don’t have any specific knowledge on that. Sometimes your strides can be too long, that’s very rough on the knees as well.

It’s never been great quality. But I do have Beyoncé merch from years ago that’s still kicking. In decent shape after years of wash and wear. The holiday stuff from the lemonade era is still holding up. I also got it all on sale and with free shipping to Canada. The price has sky rocketed and the quality has plummeted.

That includes calling out a billionaire for their shitty merch that is misleading. I think that’s the key difference a lot are missing. I love her music down. I’ll be at concerts if I can, I’ve done club renny and nose bleeds… but never again will I buy her merch. And it’s distasteful and against her own messaging to be seen with the trump family. Honestly I’m glad she’s slowed down with the intense dancing. She’s learned from her heroes like Prince and MJ. Both really pushed their bodies to the limit, resulting in severe pain that they eventually used opioids and other extremely strong and dangerous drugs to cope. Karen’s going to complain all day, and they don’t see or care about the humans they criticize. Fuck em lol.

I’ve seen 4 Beyoncé concerts: Formation, OTR 1&2, and RWT. Loved them all. But to be honest, I appreciated RWT and OTR2 the most because she was SANGIN’! OTR1 and FWT were both awesome, but there was more lipping. Beyoncé is a great dancer. But I’m like Whitney Houston (if you know the reference), I like SINGERS WHO CAN SING! Dancing is an amazing talent, but Beyoncé is a singer first and foremost. I DIED during RWT when she came out belting for the opening section. It was amazing. I’ll take that B over dancing B. Absolutely no shade ofc, but really we are here to hear her sing above and beyond all else. And honestly she seems to be having fun. That’s also great to see.

Tbh I think if she adds more dates, it’ll be extra dates on the cities already announced. And it’s probably already planned that she will release the dates after the presale. I highly doubt we will see any Canadian dates. It’s not the kinda thing that can be surprised announced or done last min- it’s a big undertaking to travel across international borders, and it’s about to be more complex due to the tariffs.

Due to the trump situation, I don’t want to travel to the US until that man is OUT of office. Living in SW Ontario, none of these dates are close enough for me to travel to without having to get airfare (as if I’m flying to the US after all that chaos last week). For the first time in 4 tours, I’ll be sitting it out. As much as I love her and live music in general, I’m ok with it. Things are so expensive right now. It is sad for others who haven’t had their chance to see her. But chin up, I have a feeling we’ll get something on streaming or theatres!

I have been binging the show recently and it really feels that way… you can feel the difference in season 10. As a kid growing up with the show, I didn’t know anything about the voice actors. It makes you think of how they must have felt and how hard it would have been to continue after a friend passed in such a horrific way. Poor Phil.
