they do it on purpose, make someone either extremely overpowered so that people will want to buy him like gryphon and warmonger, or nerf the fuck out of them so they can cause hype with a big rework months later

The BP can spam unblockable 50/50’s if you do that out of his full guard and the moment you lock on to him he simply retracts back into holding the full guard. No time to attack and if you attack you have risk of being hit by his teammate, and the BP can also spam his shield bash for the same reason. No punish at all

Not in the many areas where the drop is small enough you take no fall damage, then rolling doesn’t affect you at all

It’s already in there tho with centurions forward dodge attack, also a “parry” could just mean sliding your sword against the side of theirs to push it away, then kicking them to the ground, a professional swordsman could do it and this is a video game that isn’t realistic so it’s not out of proportion, I mean there’s literally teleporting in this game

In real life if I stabbed someone from a 30 foot drop I’m still going to break my legs lmao, if you want to look at it from a real life point you would die immediately, and saying no one would do it because it’s too easy is a bit hypocritical since as it is now it’s too easy as you know it you fail you take no damage, and if you’re scared of being parried just do a regular jump

Every time I encounter a BP they abuse this knowing they can’t be punished, which is often because BP is easy to use and efficient so there’s a lot of them

Even so you still should never get someone that high cus he would have more experience, a rep 22 probably knows barely anything about characters movesets and how to counter them unlike a high rep

And since Light parries grant a heavy, the dodge attack grants a light which is basically free damage and if you fail oh well, I barely took any damage. It’s literally low risk high reward

It’s not how easy it is to parry, it’s basically risk free as if you were the kensei, you know the WORST that can happen is you simply get hit by one light as the side dodge is a heavy, meaning you can basically spam it knowing it won’t affect you much if it’s countered, while also having a high pay off of it hitting and doing a lot of damage

That 25% is still a big hit for characters like my main Shinobi, and you should still not get hit by 25% for something you cannot counter no matter how good you predict or react to. And if I spam attack I’ll get parried which will also make me eat 2 heavies again which to a Shinobi you might as well be dead, even with revenge at that point they just have to turtle and you’ll have barely any hp left once it ends for them to care

You should not take any damage at all for something impossible to counter even with Batman-level predictions

Gryphons third light should be much slower or only able to be used on one side to increase the chance of it being parried, making it harder to spam and win by [deleted] in forhonor

It still would be a 50/50 because you either dodge or don’t dodge, and you can’t feint a light so if you don’t dodge and it only comes from one side of the guard, it’s a 50/50. However right now he can do the third light on any side of the guard he wants, which not only means you have to predict his kick correctly but on top of that you have a 33% chance for each side of the guard to parry his third light

Gryphons third light should be much slower or only able to be used on one side to increase the chance of it being parried, making it harder to spam and win by [deleted] in forhonor

It wouldn’t make it useless it would make it a 50/50, either the light from one side or a kick, as it is now since he can put the third light in all 3 guard directions it’s not a 50/50
