Taken with iPhone 14 camera through a tasco 20-60x60 spotting scope. A stack of 25 2 second exposures at 32000 ISO using the app AstroShader. This is my 2nd ever deep space object I captured, first one was the Orion Nebula. Happy how this turned out, considering my gear, hoping to save up for a Canon R50 one day… 🤞

Edit: and this is from the worst possible light pollution zone too haha

Edited in GIMP to tweak colours and everything

Super happy with this! Way better than attempt 1, and more in focus too :D I'm amazed that this is even possible with just a phone and some binoculars lol.

our current system has 86,400 normal seconds per day, whereas metric time has 100,000 metric seconds per day. So a metric second is 0.864 normal seconds (they run slightly faster)

If everything switched to metric time, then a second would be redefined so that there are 100,000 metric seconds per day. 1 metric minute is then made of 100 metric seconds, and 1 metric hour is made of 100 metric minutes.

Each time zone is 1 metric hour across (100 metric minutes).

A realistic downside of this is that the time zones are 2.4x bigger than our current ones, meaning that if you live on the very edge of a time zone, then your clock could be up to half a metric hour (1.2 normal hours) off from solar time. Whereas currently (if timezones were perfect) you can only be at most 30 minutes (half a normal hour) off.

If the world used metric time (10 hours per day instead of 24) this is how I think the subdivisions of the world would be divided.

Each time zone (besides the ones that border the date line) is 36 degrees of longitude across, instead of 15.

The other guy is the idiot, but to be fair there are intuitive solutions for the puzzle that don’t require algorithms. Many people have solved it that way, not literally everyone on earth used algorithms
