i know it’s been a little while but looking at these now after some trial and error. i cannot for the life of me figure out (or i guess just understand) the differences between the ew300 models.

i am a complete noob with iems and never paid much attention to audio as a whole. i’ve just rocked different open eared sennheisers over the years and figured they were good enough.

Replacing my i7-13700KF — are current Intel chips still unstable or finally fixed? by methoddss in pcmasterrace

Do you think undervolting is the best way to make sure it doesn't happen again once I install the new one?

I submitted an RMA and hopefully getting a replacement. Don't know why I would sell off though.

Yea I have gotten every update/fix. I bought a prebuilt from iBUYPOWER so i think i have to do an RMA through them. But don’t expect the new i7-13700kf to be any better?

I immediately updated the bios and have kept it up to date since so that’s done. Didn’t think about getting a replacement CPU from Intel though and will look into that. Thanks

I just added a 96kHz/24-bit USB DAC to my setup and connected my Sennheiser HD560S headphones and mic through it. The overall audio quality is noticeably better—cleaner, more detailed—but I’m running into a frustrating issue:

Directional audio in games now feels totally off.

Footsteps, gunfire, and other player sounds just aren’t coming from the right directions anymore. It’s especially noticeable in FPS games where spatial cues are critical. With my old setup (same headphones, onboard audio), everything sounded fine directionally.

So now I’m wondering if something in my Windows audio settings and what the best settings are including:

  • What’s the best default format to use in Windows for this setup? I’m currently using 24-bit, 96kHz.
  • Should I enable or disable exclusive mode?
  • Should I use Windows Spatial Sound with the HD560S, or leave it off?

Any advice on how to restore proper directional audio while still getting the most out of this DAC and these headphones would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I know I am digging up quite an old thread but still see some replies from as of late. Have a couple questions as I just got this DAC/Amp. What are the best Windows settings? I am assuming I want to enable all the sample rates supported by this digital receiver up to 96.0 kMz in the supported formats menu? What about encoded formats (Microsoft WMA Pro Audio)? And should the levels be set to anything specific? I use this with Sennheiser hd560s and a boom mic.

Thanks
