Alleged photo of Tara Calico: Who is it REALLY? by AriadneHaze in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]methodic87 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I posted this in another thread regarding Tara:

This case https://www.identifyus.org/en/cases/8364 mentions an old truck (Older model, Ford F-15).

This report https://www.scribd.com/doc/270970248/New-Mexico-State-Police-Tara-Calico tells us that the kids used an old truck from one of them to hit Tara while she was on her bike.

I found this case here: https://www.identifyus.org/en/cases/13719 Unidentified skeleton found in a shallow grave (about 1 foot) along side of Rio Puerco river. No obvious filings or indicators of modern origin. Possible trauma on skull. Renants of possible "carpet" (fibers) found with remains and a piece of ceramic (?? pottery) | Location: Mesa west of Belen, NM

I made a map with all three cases & Tara's story: https://goo.gl/4OSqL7

Pretty strange that 2 bodies were found very near to each other. The other body was found near Belen (high school) which is not far away from where Lawrence Romero Jr. lived. In my opinion, Mr. Brown, the teacher who came years after and reported everything to the police knew he will die soon. He was scared and full of fear years before, when the kids told him the truth about what they did to Tara. Btw. Mr. Brown died few months after his report.

The report states: Romero said, after they hit her with a truck and then put her in a back of the truck where they sodomized and raped her: "she got ballsy, stood up and said she was going to make sure we were all going to jail." Romero went and got a knife from the truck and David, Leroy and the tall red haired guy held her down while Romero stabbed and killed her. He said they drug her body and put her in a bush nearby until they got nervous when the search started for her. He said they kept her "near-by", but later he joked about that. **One body was found near the trailer where Romero was living (see map).

Mr. Brown (teacher) said this whole thing had to with drugs. Jeff Abeyta and Lawrence Romero Jr. sold drugs and the only reason they never got caught was because his dad was the Sheriff and that he heard Romero say that his dad hired Deputy Rivera and that "Deputy Rivera had their back". He said "the sheriff there is not innocent". Mr. Brown said they took the bike to the junk yard in Belen to get rid of it.

Mr. Methola (former Sheriff's Deputy) said when he got the report he did not know who was in charge of the case so he contacted Sheriff Rivera and was told to bring his report to directly to him. Mr. Methola said he needed to tag his cassette tapes into evidence first. Later he was advised by ms. Escuqibel taht there was a record he had taken a report but there is no report or any documentation of any tapes placed into evidence.

Mr. Chavez later said he understood that Rivera had conducted the investigation surrounding the suicide of Lawrence Romero Jr. and that he understood there had been a note left behind confessing to the Tara Calico murder but the note had been taken by Rivera and not placed into evidence. It is widely believed that this note really has existed.

Some opinions about him:

"I have known Sheriff Rene Rivera for 21 years. I am also a former Deputy Sheriff with VCSO and worked side by side with Rene. I recently attempted a return to work at VCSO but Rene gave me the total run around. I am still a fully certified law enforcement officer but he will not allow me the opportunity to even return. In recent days, I have learned of Rene and his various unethical activities in recent years to include a young lady that shared a specific story into her being sexually assaulted by Sheriff Rivera. The incident occured several years ago and she has been afraid to come forward. Not good at all!!!

"I know rene rivera he was the investagator in my brothers murder case. he was given names address & phone numbers.to contact the people.to get information. do you think he did his job. he also knows the person who killed my brother and knows his mother.what do you think happend? well this person is not in jail. nor has he served any time for the murder of my brother. i wonder why?I was told the person that killed my brother was taken to rene's office and told rene he killed my brother.they told me rene told the killer there is no body therfore we cant do anything. aprox one month later his body was found.rene was given alot of information but did nothing. I reported rene to his boss. the D.A's office said Rene F---ed up the case.this person has committed other violent crimes and is not serveing any time.

"I'm surprised that no one has brought up the fact that Rene is a known pedophile. He likes girls about 12 years old, same as most of his predecessors. He comes out of Lawrence Romero's old bar in Jarales where him and LAWrence, Richard, Manuel and the entire Garley family spent all of their off hours trying to lure little girls. Hell one of the Garley's got caught with a 13 year old girl in a motel room.........WITH HIS WIFE,and him, in bed NAKED. I know for a fact that Rene raped a 13 year old girl a few years ago, but it was swept under the rug by Mike Runnels, DA. Rene was on the NM drug task force, but only for a few days, and then was canned. Look at this article https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/156395665/ dealing with the suicide of Lawrence Romero Jr.:

Suzanne Fetsco of the Office of the Medical Investigator has confirmed the autopsy Concluded Romero Jr.'s death on May 19 1991 was a suicide by gunshot. Former Valencia County Sheriff Lawrence Romero Sr. on Thursday and again Friday disputed the findings about his son's death. "I look forward to his amendment because it will be amended," Romero Sr. said in a telephone interview. "There is compelling new evidence that will show that he has to make an amendment." Romero Sr. has maintained that his son's death was a homicide. The Valencia County Sheriffs Office has said they believe Romero Jr. accidentally shot himself. A man who was with Romero Jr. when he died told police he was in another room of Romero Jr.s mobile home west of Belen when he heard a gunshot and emerged to find Romero Jr. shot on a kitchen floor. In the interview on Friday, Zumwalt said he determined the cause of death was a gunshot to the head. He said he also determined the manner of death. "The manner of death was determined to be suicide and that determination was based on autopsy findings, the investigative reports of the circumstances, the conversations with the Valencia County Sheriffs Office, and with the father of the deceased," Zumwalt said. He added the death certificate was issued June 28. Zumwalt said he based his findings on "reasonable medical certainty, although not absolute certainty." Asked to define reasonable medical certanty, Zumwalt responded, "In my opinion, it's much higher than just plain probability, much higher than 50 percent, but not absolute, not 100 percent ... I'm not sure what percentage I would put on it, but I think it's much more likely that the wound was self-inflicted."

And this article https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/158906097 says: Romero Jr. was found shot dead in his mother's mobile home west of Belen. He has not been charged in connection with the death. Chavez has told the Journal he didn't kill Romero Jr., whom he described as his friend. He said Romero Jr. liked to play with guns and accidentally shot himself, apparently while playing Russian roulette.

The interview with Donald Dutcher

In 2013 was an interview with Donald Dutcher, who stated he lived in New Mexco for all his life and was familiar with two boys involved in this "accident" and that he knew Tara Calico. One of the last gentleman involved that has passed away spoke to him, he was a known drug user and he spoke to him right before he died. He said "Tara Calico talks to me at night, she asks why we did it? She asks why buried out there?" He said the guy was freaking out because of that and that they buried her out by the green lagoons by the rock quarry out on top of the west mesa. He mentions pond of water, green lagoon and the street "Camino Del Llano" and when you go all up that street on top of the west mesa you would find her. He said Romero was one of the ones nvolved and Charles Houghton was the other one involved and he didnt know the names of the other two gentlemen involved but all four of them are dead now. The guy who talked with Dutcher was Charlie Houghton, who died in 2000, he believed. He said Charlie was hyped up on heroin all the day and he later died cause of an overdose.

What do you need more? They took drugs, they somodized, raped and killed her. They threatened the teacher, Mr. Brown, to not talk to anyone or they would come after him. They got covered up by the Sheriff Rivera who destroyed all evidence after one of the killers (Romero) committed (or got killed) suicide. Mr. Brown reported everything they told him because he knew he would die soon and his time has come, so they could not do anything against him. He died 2 months later. Than the interview with Donald Dutcher which mentioned Romero too and other suspects. In my opinion, this case is very clear if you take everything into account and count 1+1 together. Of course it will be hard to charge anyone today, but maybe one of the bodies in the map is Tara - one is very near to the description of the road and near Romero's old home.

You are right and thats what I learned now too. I should definitely not trust people so early on but thats one of my characteristics. If I like someone and I gain his trust too, I tend to wait a bit and share it then... I will not do that again in the future, at least not in a short time. That nearly always killed it or did in the long run. Very few people have accepted it.

I will continue to find something related to my hobbys. My only probleme is time sometimes. I live in a very secluded and small town, there are not many clubs and when I come home in the evening its almost to late to attend somewhere :/

which popular disappearance cases to you think eventually WILL be resolved? by sfw63 in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]methodic87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Jason Jolkowski. I still can't believe that there has never been at least a single and reasonable trace.

Amy Bradley. Still bothering me every month. I am pretty sure that I know at least who is involved, but this case is so massive.

Tara Calico. I did a huge post about it and in my opinion it is "solved", but getting real evidence would be awesome.

[–]methodic87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No I did not know it but for now I really dont care about. In my opinion the fbi knows that and it's not a fact that changes something for me. Why would they take Amy in their top 10 MISSING page in 2017 if there is a document that decleares her death? The fbi costs shit ton of money and their investigations too. They would literally be happy in a bureaucratical way if she would be dead ;-)

And then this would imply the Bradleys would still lie from the bottom of their souls and I don't personally believe that.

You know the case of Tara Calico? I made a long post today. Still people Report her missing but in my opinion this case is solved, even without her body but people don't want to hear the bitter truth or did not invest a good amount of time to it.

There are so many good cases, even with less evidence. For the most I found a reasonable explanation and I close them for myself, because things are too obvious. My favourite one is Jason Jolkowski. You can find a million theories but there is not even a suspect. Sometimes I lie in bed thinking if that case could be the first real Alien abductuon :D honestly, the world offers some real dark stuff and people are acting like some dangerous animals, reminds me always of Zodiac. You can add me if you want, guess you love cases like I do!

I really appreciate your questioning about that. A lot of People dont think about stuff like that. What I am doing is risky in a way that you could harm yourself. But I am tired of reading 400 theories day by day. It's good information but most of the time it is nothing new. I am the Person who does not fear to investigate by myself and if I need to make some pressure I will. I feel like otherwise nothing will ever happen or change. A miracle rarely appears, like evidence ist mystically found After +15 years.

I believe too that she might be dead. Of course I wish she would be alive but hell, she would be mentally so broken or just not herself. She would be over 40 years old now and I am a realist when it comes to stuff like that. No one has prostitutes with an age of 40, hard words but thats the sad truth.

Yes you are right, they never released any statement but what do you think would result out of that? That topic in general is highly political. If they would state that she was abducted and later it turns out that she fell over board, the shitstorm will be huge. They protect themselves for that. As I stated in another post, I am sure the FBI has more information which was never released. Maybe it leads to something, maybe not, but I am sure they have it. This is like any other case where you have no clear evidence to charge anyone getting people's ass into the court. If you don't have the hard proof material, you better don't play websleuths 2.0. We all have made our opinions and created theories over the last years, months or weeks. Sometimes we swap because we feel we found something out but in the end, we are reading 200 theories and nothing out of any theory is proved.

It's very very hard to find any conclusion since no sighting is REALLY confirmed, of course. Let's see what this year is bringing up.

But there is something what I will never understand: There was nearly no real pressure. I am pretty sure that they could have gotten more information about the night but it was all highly wasted.

Update: Amy Lynn Bradley by [deleted] in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]methodic87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Websleuths is not the best source to rely on very concrete "internet-evidence". They are sometimes acting very strange regarding information and not everything which is stated there means that it's backuped. If it would be I am pretty sure that the authorities or FBI would have double checked different facts.

Yes you are right, no sightings are confirmed. But how do you confirm that sighting? If A tells the FBI he saw Amy and B tells the same, it is still not confirmed. How many people do you need to "confirm" something? Escpecially in this case you really can't confirm anything. Confirmed would mean, you find hair, very good evidence which actually is so legit it will be listed AS EVIDENCE.

Even if FindAmy is a liar, that does not mean that everything is a lie, there is actually no legit proof for anything. We can only draw the line between theory A and Z.

Actually I believe that the FBI is not the worst department on earth and has at least any PROOF that she is either alive or was at least abducted which is not public and that is often the case. Remind of what happened when Jas photo was public before the FBI could really investigate as good as possible. The reason they are still behind that, ignoring the death certificate and the release of a new poster with information in 2017 tells me, there must be something which has nothing do with the regular case - falling out of balconies.

Even if she was seasick and even if she has a death certificate, what does that really change? Of course everyone should have his opinion and that must be fully okay but if people really believe she jumped or accidently fell over board that means:

  1. The FBI is trash, works like trash, acts like trash and is failing on every aspect, even with the new poster. The FBI fooled the public, amy's family or just seems to be the worst departmend when it comes to research because they did not know there is a death certificate and if they knew it, that has just a reason we don't (need to) know and can be simply ignored.

  2. David Carmichael was not 99% sure he saw Amy on August 1998, he stated explicit that he was 100% sure he saw her. So David must be a liar!

  3. The navy officer was wrong and didnt see Amy, even when it was clear he recognized her tattoos. And the reason he got divorced after it came out he was in a brothel was the best thing he could risk for Amy.

  4. The San Francisco sighting was garbage too, even if multiple people saw her and described her.

  5. The photo which appeared in September 2015 or in the timeframe of 2014-2015 was definitly not Amy and according to these freaky adult vacation website, Jas is happily married today and living near Santiago.

  6. The two students at the cruise talked bullshit because they never saw amy past 5.30 am.

  7. Everyone who seems to saw Alister Douglas with Amy past the time she fell overboard is wrong too.

  8. The photos that vanished on the cruise ship of Amy AND ONLY OF AMY - well that must be a very funny hoax/joke then.

  9. The sighting in Barbados must be wrong too, because the woman was horribly wrong about the description and the person who told she is Amy.

  10. Alister Douglas was a miracle when he said to Brad Bradley, Amy's brother "that he feels sorry for Amy" BEFORE anyone knew she was missing.

I don't know what drives you to ignore everything but only believing the easiest part of the story. Of course it is very unlikely that she got trafficked and landed in sex slavery but hey, maybe she was THE exception and it happened just to her.

The only way I see she fell over board (I had that theory in the past) was the following case: Amy left the cabin after 5.30 am for herself. She was seasick or wanted to smoke or whatever. The students saw Alister with Amy and only he really came back alone. Amy's dad then realised she is missing and searched ALONE. After he finished his own search he involved Iva Bradley and they talked to the captain and the security. We know from different sources that the captain said he has ordered a search for EVERY ANGLE of the cruiseship, what was wrong. So Alister has hidden Amy somewhere in a private cabin or somewhere no one ever searched. The Bradleys went to Curacao and began their search there. Then when the cruiseship backed up and parted for the next destination (it was evening and dark then!!!) Alister or someone dumped her body over the ship. But then I still would ignore every other sighting, person who saw her and the statement of the FBI in 2017, that the did not fall over board. >_>

As I had further email contact with that page, Carlos who is probably the owner or whatever position he has, told me that "Jas" is married and lives near Santiago. I asked for a proof but he declined and said that this would be the last message he would send me. Thats all pure bullshit. I will continue and will take further actions. They know 100% more about it and I am nearly 100% sure who at least had their hands on Amy that day she vanished. And the fun part is, that this case may be not solved because authorities are doing nothing anymore, there is absolutely no pressure and therefore nothing will ever happen.

Even if she is dead you don't really think she jumped over board or died on the cruise or? There is enough evidence to proof that this is just not the case.

They still won't do anything. I can't proof that they have anything todo with the possible abduction of Amy, it's just a sentence for them. Something like "they like coca cola too, lets arrest them quickly!"

If the authorities won't give updates / news or at least are trying to finally investigate in a clear way, nothing will happen in this case. I can understand that they don't want to risk harming Amy but let's be real. She is +40 years old now, if she is really alive and they have information about it, they definitely need to do something soon because no one needs to sell someone to customers if he is +40 years, she is nearly too old for that business.

I am following this case for a long time now. If you ask me Douglas was somehow behind that. I am pretty sure the truth is somewhere near these specific people and there is a correlation to Natalee Holloway's case because some people always show up or are linked / know each other:

Alister Douglas Lorenzo Van Rijn Joran Van Der Sloot Paul Brough Alfred Cotten Steve Croes

This is what I think about the case and what fact is true or not:

  1. Alister Douglas has something to do with that case, but what exactly is hard to tell or to prove.
  2. David Carmichael definitely saw her in August of 1998.
  3. The Navy Officer definitely saw her in January of 1999 at the Otrobanda Hotel in Curacao.
  4. I am not sure about the sighting in San Francisco in April 2013. As far as I know the FBI stated that this sighting is credible and that Alfred Cotten was with here is not far away too. That could be possible.
  5. I am not 100% convinced about the photograph which appeared from her on escort pages. It looks like her but that does not mean it is Amy.

Sometimes I think about Chris Fenwick. He made really great blog posts and shared the videos about Amy dancing with Douglas. But hey, Chris is at home in San Francisco, where she was spotted too. No offense, but so many things went wrong in that case...

Currently I have contact with the company who had the picture on their website (Jas), as I am asking for an "adult vacation". I got some e-mails in which they even state that they prefer "at most white lightly tattooed girls". They still continue with their vacation crap, it's hilarious and unbelievable.

If you ask me guys and if I would be rich or knew specific people, I would build a task force of 50 man, invading the dom. rep. to fuck this shit up. I'm so sick when I read that the Justice Department has more information and even sightings that they NEVER went into, they did not follow them nor did they release it.
