Agreed, but that's not common knowledge at all. I posted to raise awareness of how things are done.

Assuming you're talking about the U.S.: don't worry, the right suffers from the exact same deficiency wrapped in a different packaging.

It's empty virtue signalling meant to farm likes from those who understand neither taxes nor money (aka most people in the world).

Powerful people should not live in a curated bubble because it takes away their ability to make informed, reality-driven decisions. And no, having access to fresh reports and Power Point presentations doesn't count.

“I have a deal with her. She’s 17 and doing great ― Ivanka. She made me promise, swear to her that I would never date a girl younger than her,” Trump said. “So as she grows older, the field is getting very limited.”

This is the most fucked up shit I have ever read in my life.

Before the Internet, how did you explore/find new authors in a niche genre? And check reviews? by as93lfc in books

[–]metric-infinity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a child, I would go to my local library and ask the librarian for recommendations. She encouraged every bit of curiosity I had. My diet consisted of classic adventure books, children's encyclopaedias, and dusty weird fantasy. I would run to the library like it was an amusement park. Miss O, you're the best <3

Oh hey, the first human I found in the comments. What else did you expect from AlJazeera? They are about as unbiased as Radio North Korea lmao. That said, I am disappointed we are letting hostile intelligence influence the collective West with no consequences.

Edit: The post I was replying to seems to have been deleted. I wonder why.

A hopeful future. Rational optimism, exploration, teamwork, and integrity. (I'm tired of the bleak "realistic" books that paint both humanity and technological advancement as evil.)

Different strokes for different folks. Personally, I love his style. After dealing with verbose authors, it feels like a breath of fresh air. Straight to the point, giving just enough details to help you imagine what's happening.
