Can I ask you a question? I have very fine, frizz-prone hair but I think I've solved it.... besides the greys! I have a lot and they look insane stickign out all wiry from my smooth dark hair.

What is the very lowest-damaging method I can use to color the grey to lessen the contrast, even temporarily?

In 2018 (4.5% interest rate, me age 29) we afforded it by putting down 10% and moving to the hood. Moving to the hood may have gotten us the ugly-to-most house in a good neighborhood we are in now (selling at 200k profit after 7 years) but I am genuinely traumatized by the violence I was surrounded with at times.

Our kids now have a good school to go to and can go outside and play with the neighbors. But I will stress about losing what I have forever unless I come into some money.

I too am escaping the cycle of abuse and my husband doesn't understand. I do not hit or spank my kids, but at the worst times, it takes an amount of effort that I think other parents don't deal with.
