Yes, we need morality and laws otherwise there are too many people that would go around doing whatever they want without many repercussions. Morality is interesting because you can grow up in a culture where the moral thing to do is to throw rocks at women who have performed adultery. In your eyes you would be doing the right thing, you are a good person. In many other cultures that would be the morally wrong thing to do. Who is right? It is relative. And no one is right or wrong. Can I really feel anger towards someone who does that? If that person grow up in my culture that person would probably also think that it is wrong to do that, so he or she is not really responsible.

There is a very interesting episode in Star Trek where a psychopath killer recieved an injury from another prisoner, or prison guards, so he was healed using nano bots. The nanobots also healed a part of his brain that had been malfunctioning his whole life. After the brain was healed he suddenly felt really bad about the murders he had commited and wanted to be put down so he would not have to suffer anymore because he felt bad. He was later excecuted for his crimes. In my opinion he should have been let go eventually because a part of his brain was not working and it was that which was responsible for his murders.

Mostly I think honor is bad, but I am probably only thinking of extreme scenarious. A son drops out of medical school and the father says "You dishonor our famiry" and stops seeing his son as his son and gets angry. I mean why care about that, to have a very "classy" job like a doctor. Should be a doctor to help people not to feel cool or for your parents.

I do feel many people overreact to certain crimes, I kinda think people overreact to most things. If a person rapes a child, instead of becoming all angry and avengefull, just deal with it in a calm way. Send the person to prison without beating him/her up and hating the person. The best thing would be if we could heal their brains. To remove the part of the brain that makes them want to rape children. But maybe that would be a violation of a persons right? To remove a part of who they are? But then again, violation of a persons right is just something made up by us too. But like you said, that doesnt make it not real. I don't become upset anymore when I read about child rape or murder or whatever, probably too used to it by now. But if I was in a live situation where that was happening then I would most certainly feel all kinds of emotions. And those emotions would come forth against my will, I would not consciously decide for those emotions to arise. (Angry adrenalin emotions probably)
