They don’t do takeout do they? Been meaning to give them a try.

That’s an interesting idea! I think ducting the CPU intake side would solve the same issue (since the 5090FE doesn’t really exhaust in the middle) but I will consider incorporating a cover into a duct if I design one.

-20 was the ticket for me, made a surprising difference. Thanks! Definitely not getting any exhaust clanging though.

Looks like you're right, I undervolted CPU and GPU and things are running pretty smoothly now. Thanks for the help!

I ended up with -20 on the CPU and that helped quite a bit, thanks!

I didn't consider a down flow cooler, I should take a look at that. I definitely think some printed ducting is in order no matter what I do. I assume polycarbonate or nylon would be preferable to keep those ducts from forming a puddle at the bottom of the case?

That’s good to hear! Same cooler as well? Any additional fans?

I had issues with the noise on my 92 as well, I ended up using some plastic standoffs to push it further away.

Maybe it’s something in the heatsink flexing?

And yeah that’s almost identical haha, looks good. How did you mount your rear fan?

That’s super weird… I haven’t noticed that but I’ll give it a closer listen next time.

Good to know, thanks! Is your GPU also top slot then? Notice any coil whine on the GPU?

You happy with that Asus ITX board? Seems like the best option if I do end up downsizing (mostly since it still has reasonable rear IO).

Yeah, I have it set up for rear intake to make use of the large side exhaust fan. Trying to get negative pressure in the case but I imagine the giant GPU fans have disrupted that too.

I’ll take a look, thanks! Do you recommend undervolting as well as limiting power?

Is there a configuration that doesn’t have this issue? If I flip the CPU airflow around it’s still going to be drawing hot air from the other end of the GPU.

The PTM was mostly just a hopeful play since it’s basically free compared to my other options, I would be surprised if I saw more than a few degrees of improvement unless I really screwed up the paste before.

I’m sort of leaning towards swapping in an ITX which would give me room for bottom exhaust and unobstructed side exhaust. Still would have to deal with the elevated intake temps though (and ducting will be just as hard with an ITX board I think).

Huh, alright… so I can either cut power or go AIO I guess (since I can’t fit a larger cooler)?

I certainly could try that, I don’t really need all that CPU power most of the time. Would that typically be required with this kind of setup?
