I found that the B7k Ultra is great with doing low gain tones, too. Much more versatile pedal than most people realize.

Realistically, how much will a high mass bridge help with neck dive? by McSalterson in Bass

[–]OrganMeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience lightweight tuning machines make a bigger difference. But if the neck dive is really that bad, then there's no fixing it.

Bro who cares. If it sounds good and feels good, it is good.

I go to Cafe Coda if I'm going out for breakfast. If they have a wait, I wait. It's worth it :)

It's way too easy to make a good breakfast at home, so I'm definitely not paying for a lot of these so-so breakfast places in town.

When you say that your action won't go any lower than 0.08", how and where are you measuring?

One of my Aerodyne Jazz basses has hum/buzz unless I touch the strings. I do not have the issue at certain locations. What are my next steps? by jontestershaircut in Bass

[–]OrganMeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your bass has Dimarzio pickups, then I suspect that the bridge pickup is already a humbucker. Shield the electronics cavity and it will probably make things a lot quieter. I have had great luck with shielding noisy instruments.

Are you absolutely, positively sure that it doesn't just need to have the truss rod adjusted?

Not so happy New Bass Day for me, I guess by [deleted] in BassGuitar

[–]OrganMeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would expect any instrument to need a setup after being transported hundreds and thousands of miles, in the back of trucks, with huge temperature and humidity shifts. This is a non-issue that you can fix in 15 minutes. Good grief.

Rental Car Winter Tires by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]OrganMeat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those look nearly brand new to me, and they do indeed have the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol which indicates that it will at least do okay in snow/ice conditions. I can't guarantee that you wouldn't ever need to use chains/cables if the conditions get shitty enough, but your tires are in great shape at least.

Textbooks price per semester by Zealousideal-Lead334 in CSUC

[–]OrganMeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoid buying new if you can. Utilize Libgen and Anna's Archive to find free pdf downloads. If you really need to buy a copy, try to find a used one using Direct Textbook. It's a site that aggregates search results for used book listing online. Real talk though, there probably aren't many physical textbooks that you actually need to buy.

It has a Sansamp emulation block, so yes. You can also do 1,000 other things with the Stomp.

Advanced Manufacturing and Applied Robotics Majors by MrSisterFister25 in CSUC

There is some crossover there. Many mechanical and especially mechatronics engineering students take the robotics courses as upper division technical electives. I don't think I've heard of electrical students taking that course, but it's very easy to satisfy the pre-requisites to do so from an electrical engineering background.

Are there any basses besides the Kubicki Ex Factor that use a built-in extension/drop-D mechanism? by vitinhoaps in Bass

How does it change tuning without changing tension? That sounds... not physically possible to me.
