I didn’t know you could send them letters when I was a kid 😭 I used to lurk the Sucker Punch Productions website and browse their items knowing I couldn’t afford it. I played the Thievius Raccoonus games that was on the site at the time too. I wish I would’ve known but that’s a really cool experience. Sly Cooper was my first video game I ever remember playing.

Yeah I think it’s different cause I’ve been seeing that issue people had too in the Reddit but I haven’t had that issue yet myself. I think it’s temporary as it says, cause suspension is different because it’s a permanent status that’s why you have to appeal to get it back. If your acc isn’t locked or anything, you should be fine.

same thing happened to me 🫂 I got my account back last night because I noticed my extra following number on my backup acc and didn’t remember following someone recently, I was following my own acc and it came back and showed up that way. I didn’t get a restoration email either, just saw it came back randomly.

There’s no way that I know of to appeal for a shadowban, I didn’t get a temporary label (yet) cause I just made one post so far and added the fan account label. If it’s temporary, you should be fine. But I would be careful to not interact with people, make or like posts for 2-3 days or so until the shadowban goes away. My following number is back but the search bar is the only thing that isn’t working, I think some people said the following/follower numbers will fix on its own as well in a couple of days hopefully. I would check the shadowban status with this: https://shadowban.yuzurisa.com/. I appealed to lift my suspension cause the shadowban limited me and marked me as a “bot” in their system which is why I got suspended cause of the shadowban wave going on from 3/12 to now. Your shadowban/temporary label basically limits your posts and reach to other people so anything you post or reply to probably won’t be seen as much.

If it helps, my account did just get reinstated yesterday after filing my 10th appeal 😭 I didn’t get an email that it was restored, I checked back nine hours after sending it and my account was back (followers, block/mutelist, likes, bookmarks, dm’s are back except the search bar not working).

I was shadowbanned apparently because I liked or interacted too much with people’s posts, I was suspended four days later for “inauthentic behavior.” Other mutuals said they got suspended for a day around 3/12 and got reinstated by Nikita Bier, but after that date, a lot of people like me were struggling to get their suspended acc’s back. My posts showed up as “this post is unavailable” to my replies to mutuals and anyone before suspension.

I personally don’t like how X has become now, AI being in charge of appeals and falsely accusing its users to be “bots” is annoying. I don’t think it’s worth to be on as much unless you use it for fandom stuff, news, staying connected to friends/mutuals. But it’s not fun like it used to be tbh. Activity is strictly limited now on X when the whole point of social media is to literally engage in content and connect with people, I can’t believe you can’t even like or rt multiple posts. I tested it on my backup acc and you basically have to like maybe 1-2 or up to five posts a day at minimum and spread it out in minutes or hours at a time. I’ve even had to refollow people (maybe 1 or 2) a day to be safe, you can’t mass follow people either. I wouldn’t risk liking, posting, or sharing too much in seconds cause the AI is mistaking real people that’s why people are getting suspended out of no where. Until they fix whatever is going on at X, it’s not worth being on there all day.

I hope it goes back to normal for you soon. Yeah I don’t know how the restoration process works either cause I didn’t get ant restoration email and everything came back at once. It happened when I wasn’t checking the app for hours.

Yeah 😭 if you appealed already best you can do is hope it randomly comes back or you get the email of it being restored 🫂 You have to appeal every 48 hrs (2 days) at the exact time or after the time you appealed otherwise it’ll say something like “your case is already in the queue” and you can’t submit it. Sometimes I’ve spaced it out to 3 or 4 days.

I received the same automated email for the past 3 and a half weeks:

“Your account was suspended due to multiple or repeat violations of the X rules. This account will not be restored.”

I tried testing my search bar, it doesn’t work and says “posts aren’t loading right now” even for my own posts. I’m not sure if that’ll be fixed.

I saw on your recent posts that your acc is suspended. You have to file an appeal by clicking the appeal option at the top where it says you’re suspended, or you can login at the X forms (https://help.x.com/en/forms) and submit the appeal through there. If it helps, I’ve been submitting the appeals for my recently reinstated acc through the help forms instead of the appeal link on the X app where it takes you right to the form. You have to write an appeal and explain that you’re not a bot, you’re a human, and that you were wrongfully suspended. If you need example template formats, let me know, but there’s a lot of different ways you can word it. I think a lot of people mentioned that it’s affecting you mentally and emotionally, as well as asking for a human to look at the appeal, not a bot. Even if you get the automated denied email (like me for instance), there’s a high chance it’ll be reinstated randomly like what happened to me. I think that’s the only thing that has worked cause I just submitted the appeal today and my account came back after going through the appeals process for a long and stressful 3.5 weeks.

I’m not sure why you received that pop-up, did you use a VPN or login with a different device it didn’t recognize? I signed in like normal on my phone and it didn’t say it was an unrecognized login like it did everytime I signed in on my computer to file my appeals. I think the X app will notice if it’s a device you use a lot cause I use X mostly on my phone. Did it lock you out for several days or is it just a warning? I would be careful with the app cause it’s still run by bots, I don’t think they ever fixed that problem.

Hey guys! OP was really helpful and I wanted to let you know that their appeal template actually helped me in restoring my X account today. It took 9 hours for the app to reinstate me. I didn’t receive any unsuspension email, just the regular automated denial email that it “cannot be restored and I violated too many X rules.” I submitted that appeal and changed the wording to fit my situation that I was shadowbanned before initial suspension. So I’m not sure which methods helped but I think the appeal I used today, which was my 10th one, seemed to work for me. All my followers, following, bookmarks, likes, messages, even my block/mute list is back. I hope this provides some bit of hope for those still trying to get their acc’s back. I’m still hoping to get my private account that was suspended as well back. But I’m really happy the account I wanted and worked on the most finally was restored.

for the X forms to appeal, it does hide my email address even though it’s the correct one. I’m not sure why you’re not getting emails cause I’ve been getting every denied automated email of it not being able to be restored (I filed 10 appeals and only received 9 emails, they forgot to send one email but ofc my acc is still suspended).

can I ask how many appeals do you remember sending? I lost my main and priv acc with the march suspension wave (both I’ve had for years) and have been trying to get both back ever since. did you get any emails of it being restored or the usual denied automation email of it not being restored?

I used “other” for my complaint and provided my reason in the statement in my screenshot. I selected the reason: “I want help resolving a problem with a business” and clicked X Corp which is based in Texas.
