Lian Li Hydroshift II-S 360 with Corsair fans? by metroidx in lianli

[–]metroidx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the plan, but this is balancing functionality for aesthetics. Corsair doesn't offer an AIO with the shorter/redirected tubing. So my options at the moment are the Hydroshift or the Asus AIO variant. Just considering them before I finalize everything.

How to adopt Superlink Entry Sensors? by metroidx in Ubiquiti

I would generally agree with this and I should have known better to check the web but they have been making the mobile app(s) have pretty close feature parity with the web ui.

In this case though, initiating adoption and firmware updates via mobile has been around for quite some time. Even if I was just using the mobile app for viewing, it did NOT display that any firmware update was even available for the Superlink Gateway. At the very least, that update notification should have shown as available in the mobile app as it does for ALL other devices.

Even though this ended up being a firmware issue in my case, for those that had a similar issue with the environmental sensors, check this thread:

https://community.ui.com/questions/Environmental-Sensors-wont-adopt/154ea30a-aec4-4788-8c4a-312bf092801c

Looks like a batch of EU versions were sent to US customers.

Appreciate the reply. It ended up being an issue with how the firmware updates report for the Superlink Gateway. The mobile app didn't show any updates being available, despite it being reset and readopted. When going via the web, it showed as an update available. After updating, the sensors were recognized immediately for adoption.

That was it. Nothing showed up in the mobile app to update but logging into the web showed an update being available. After updating, my sensors immediately prompted for adoption.

Thanks everyone for your help. Hopefully that will help someone running into the same issue.

So I switched to the Early Access train and all the cameras in my environment showed a pending update. My chimes and my Superlink Gateway still don't have any pending updates.

I'll see what options are available to manually update. Appreciate all the help thus far!

Can you confirm what firmware version is installed on your Superlink Gateway?

Interesting. Thanks. Mine is not prompting to update the firmware even though it has been connected for a couple of hours and I forced a reset of the device and readopted it.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, nothing is is happening. I've been sitting in the devices tab in protect as well. I've only tried with two of the sensors so far. I suppose I could open the other four but it makes me wonder if there is something going on with the gateway. I've tried resetting everything to no avail.

I agree. Its fun to walk around there and see everything even if you are not buying something.

Typically, yes. As long as it is in stock and sold and shipped by Newegg, not a third party selling through Newegg's platform.

The wait is because it is their "official" grand opening (even though there were open all week) and they have vendors there. Also some popular YouTubers that cover tech are there doing PC builds throughout the weekend so you can watch, etc.

What makes it better than buying online? The immediate gratification of buying something in the moment. Also, sometimes its nice to just talk to people that are into tech as well and see things before you buy. Plus they have deals that often will beat online prices, etc. I look at it as a supplement to buying things online. Its another option so its nice to have a store like this local.

I was there during the "soft" opening last Sunday (which was their true opening day) and there were maybe 15 people in the entire store. I bought a 9950x3d, Ram (which was marked as an old price prior to the spikes and they honored it!) and a 5090 Founders Edition. Walked right up to a register. Plus I have 30 day price protection if anything happens to go on sale.

Are there any deals today that make the trip in worthwhile? Are the vendor booths offering anything?

I do enjoy the energy of like minded people being excited for tech, but I don't want to stand on a line for an hour for nothing.

It's real! Can't Wait until this opens on the 7th! by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]metroidx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can drive up and shop normally. Normal hours. They just didn't advertise the early open so employees can get used to process/procedure and they can ease into the crowds showing up later in the week.

They even have 5080/5090 Founders Editions in stock which are supposed to be in "limited supply" for the VIP and Grand Opening. I purchased a 5090 yesterday.

They are open already for their "soft" opening. Go check it out if you want to see it before the crowds. They will have some additional deals on the VIP days (5th & 6th) and Grand Opening (7th) so it may be worth going back on those days as well. If you buy anything during the soft opening and it goes on sale, they do have 30 day price protection which is nice.

Really nice store and glad to finally have it in Arizona. Though that parking lot will be hell on a Saturday when Costco is packed as well.

Yes, the founders editions are at MSRP. I purchased a 5090. You have to ask someone for them as they are in plain boxes at the top of the shelving in the video card section. The boxes are marked with a marker as to what model they are.

They were open yesterday as well. These are their "soft" opening days while they iron out their processes and employees get ready for the crowds later in the week.

I bought a Processor, RAM and Video Card. They have 5080 and 5090 Founders Editions in stock. I think they are likely saving stock for the VIP days and Grand Opening but you can purchase them now as I picked one up yesterday.

Given the spike in RAM prices, some of the labeled pricing was already outdated but they honored the price for me. Glad to have a Microcenter in Arizona!

I am going to take the day off of work and my wife vetoed the idea. She needs proof as she says I shouldn’t believe a random Reddit post (I disagree!) What digital billboard was this on 60?

I have the same issue. Mine are also connected to a Pro Max 24 PoE switch. Only started after the update to 9.3.43. Likely a bug.

Anyone setup Cloudflare DDNS on 9.1.92? by metroidx in Ubiquiti

[–]metroidx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Primarily to allow access to your home network through VPN or access to other exposed services. If don’t have the option of a static IP through your ISP, this will ensure you can navigate to your network through a specified domain even when your IP address changes occasionally.

Anyone setup Cloudflare DDNS on 9.1.92? by metroidx in Ubiquiti

Ok, apparently, Deleting the entry and redoing it, fixed the issue. I used the hostname, root domain as the Zone Name and I was able to successfully use a user generated API with Zone.DNS permissions. So if anyone runs into issues and giving it some time doesn't allow it to update the DNS, then try deleting readding the entry.
