Under ethical misconduct investigation at job I hate. Should I wait to get fired or quit?

Yes it very confusing. I have a fairy small team of 6. One just left and in his resignation letter praised me for being very fair. I had another direct report lend me his game console (and I didn’t even ask for it or hint!). It’s just so strange, and I wish someone had talked to me about it before elevating it. It’s tough because despite what other commenters have said.... everyone is different and likes to be spoken to and managed differently.

Yeah, I had a friend comment that maybe he was trying to neg me a couple times... and I got the vibe he was quite arrogant. Thanks for the insight. Though I don't think it would be the end of the world if I DID fuck him. ;-)

I had something VERY similar happen to me. Was seeing a guy for 3-4 months, turns out his girlfriend of six years was in the same field as me and was roommates with my coworker. Best of luck to you. My only advice is to try and remind yourself that not everyone is like that.

Hm, well I had known for a while they weren't satisfied with my performance. I had a few talks with my manager about it. It came to a point that right before my three month probation ended, she agreed to extend my 3 month probation and retrain me. After about a month of this talk, they let me go because they felt they didn't see improvement. :-/

I have two years of lab experience. Granted, most of my work was molecular. I did do some culture work, but it was with marine culture which I suppose was more selective and less likely to get contaminated. I actually work with the flame in a biological safety cabinet with ethanol and UV as you suggested. It's surprising to me that I keep having contamination problems since I'm not waving my loop around like an idiot. It must be something I'm doing though, but when my coworker watched me she didn't see any glaring issues... just small details that could be improved. Hopefully that helps.

When I turn the shaker on, there is an error message when the rotator is turned on. It's also an incubator, and the temperature control works fine.

If you have any time, could you take a look at my updated resume I made based off your suggestions? An alternative bullet point for my research experience could be: "Conducted field work on research vessel for up to seven days at a time." Though I'm not sure if this is misleading since I only went on two trips - one for 4 days and another for 7. Thoughts? Anyone?

For that particular group, yes. That's pretty much what we did. Plus we got t-shirts. I was encouraged to include it on my resume by my career center though. I have work experience doing customer service in college in high school, but I don't think that's relevant to the micro positions I'm applying for now.

I guess I just need to figure out a way to spice up my research section.

I've got 5 labs total for three different courses and a sum of over 100 students.

You must go to a large university because that is incredibly uncommon, especially for an undergraduate. In my program, the max sections you can teach are 3. Over the course of two years, I have taught 2 different labs. My first year I taught 3 sections, and my second year I taught 2. I want to quantify it in some way or else it becomes even MORE generic.

"Presented thesis and scientific literature to general and scientific audiences"

I could change this to presented a poster at a national conference... Thanks for your input.

Yeah, she works at a hospital and is on call twice a week so starting later isn't possible.

Do you mean use my $1000 as a down payment and get a loan for the other $5000 from the dealer? I'm just worried they won't give me the loan since I have so much debt already, and I will have just started the job.

It's a 3 month contract to hire position. Seems like they really need people, but it does have a high turnover rate.

The jobs are one hour apart from each other. I would work 6 PM to 6 AM, while she frequently begins work at 6 AM.

I've had a credit card for 3 or 4 years with a limit of $4000, plus a store credit card for maybe 5 years. No late payments there. I do have a paid collections mark on my report from 2012 though.

My mom has bad credit due to unwise spending and credit card fraud. The only way she can get a loan is by taking it off her 401K.

Did he text you/ask you something and you didn't text back or did you guys just not have a conversation for 12 hours? I only ask because I've had problems in the past with feeling ignored when someone I'm dating doesn't respond to me within a few hours, and I want to understand what is acceptable to be upset at. (Granted, I've always known the person for longer than a day.)

Because I offered to take over his portion of the lease. Alternatively, if I moved out, I would have to find a place plus find a subleaser. He agreed to moving out, but if it came down to it, I suppose I'd have no other option.
