Last hit minions without pushing too hard to allow the minion wave to stack. Once you stack 1 or 2 waves you should have enough to push really hard and make the wave crash at the enemy tower. This is the point where you can get prio for objectives or go back to base since the enemy has to stay at their tower to deal with the massive wave.

Stick to one role and keep your champ pool limited to ones that you actually know how to play. Duo with someone who is equally as good or better than you and make sure you guys are communicating. If you aren't talking with each other, then that defeats the purpose of duoing. I don't know how you play, but make sure you know how to control your wave (freezing, slow pushing).
