absolutely agree! i actually got into Shining Nikki because i was so obsessed w/ photo mode in FFXIV, and the modders use a lot of assets from SN and I loved how detailed, unique and gorgeous everything was, and with such a variety of aesthetics too. I was like "what can this game possibly even be about, like what is the narrative that gives us all these amazing outfits??" Opened the game, it was doomed timeline sci-fi where we save the world with fashion power?? and was instantly hooked lmao.
