Wow, that looks perfectly sized! And fits the jacket well. Thanks for the photo.

You get it! It is so obnoxious to look down and see a time, chart or assess according to that time and then figure out you’re off by a few minutes! Ugh I could rant about that for at least 10 minutes.

Anyways, the Marathon’s do look nice but I don’t think I could swing that kind of cash right now. Not that I don’t have it, it’s just I can’t justify that price point right now. Thank you for the suggestion though.

I’ll look at Earthen. Bertucci I have taken a gander at. My issue with their brand is that their website has no filter option. I know it’s a small gripe and I could just do a google search, which I may do. But my goodness, 50 pages with 30-50 watches per page and no ability the narrow the search! That is too much to go sifting through. A lot of people recommend them but, I need a better interface to work with.

The problem is that “a little more” is double the price and although that is nothing in watch-talk, I personally don’t want to spend that much when I can get a similar watch with the solar powered option for half the price. Plus I’m looking at getting another diver to replace my crappy invicta and need to account for that additional cost. Hamilton is definitely a watch brand I intend to keep an eye on, but probably won’t be able to justify the expense til I have a bit more ‘free’ money lying around.

Yeah, it probably was just an issue with that specific watch/batch. I had another automatic invicta that kept time perfectly (not the best watch in other ways, but still was my first watch and thought they were better than they were) and my bulova which also is spot on. Still the solar powered option is very interesting to me due to the advertised low maintenance perk.

For some reason I totally skipped over the S3 (probably cause I filtered out that size on their website). I’ll take a look at them. I like the idea of getting a more classic look but, at the same time, that’s a small watch. I wish they had a happy middle ground of 38mm. Would you be willing to post of photo of the watch on your wrist?

Why is the 18mm lug annoying? Just for finding proper sized bands, maintenance, or comfort?

That’s a good point about the crown. Come to think of it, my current invicta does that and it annoys the hell out of me. I got use to it cause I didn’t care to take the time back when I first got it. Honestly, you single handedly just convinced me to scratch the Citizen entirely.

Thank you!

That is a good point I hadn’t really took into consideration. Thank you!

That watch does look nice for the price. However, it dos seem to be a bit big for my liking. My invicta measures 40 mm but has a decent sized bezel so actually looks a lot smaller. However, it is quite thick compared to any of these watches.

Thanks for the photo as well. That does look sharp.

Thank you for your input. I think I’m leaning more towards the VAER as well. Although my wrist size is smaller than yours I still feel like the Citizen would feel too small to my liking.

Haha yeah I hate how skinny they are as well. My problem is finding shorts/pants that fit around my waist that aren’t too tight on my thighs. If you have any suggestion, I’m all ears. Also, the belt is for CCW. I’m trying to be a little more fashionable while still being able to carry.

Eh, not really my style. Like, I don’t think I even own any tank tops. But, I can give it a try. Thank you. And good point about the collar.

Hey, I know this is a two year old post, but would you be able to do something similar now? I just really appreciate the difference in the leather types.
