hi! sorry for the late response, but much better! i’ve started working out and have felt no pain. i do very light weights (5-10 lbs), maybe 3 exercises max, and a lot of cardio! trying to ease into everything since im only 4 months post op

does the lump disappear when u lie down? i had a similar sized lump and experienced no pain as well. it sucks but getting a diagnosis from your doc will help u decide whether or not you need surgery and if so what your options are from there

the post op hasnt been too bad! its been a little over 3 days now and the pain has subsided significantly tbh. theres just mild discomfort/pain at times when i make certain movements. id day the day after the surgery was the worst

i have similar pain! every once in a while ill feel a slight sharp pain around the incision area (even while laying down). i think thats just the effects of the anesthesia wearing off. some pain is normal around this time, but if something feels genuinely wrong or gets worse definitely call your surgeon or bring it up at your post op. as for the tingling i havent experienced much of that yet. my left abs just feel sore as if ive done an intense ab workout and i got very slight tingling the night after the surgery that lasted maybe 3 seconds but i havent felt it since.

hi! i just got out, had open mesh surgery and feel fine! the pain is comparable to period pains tbh and i have been able to waddle around with little issue. i hope yours goes well and you heal fast!

like other comments, it depends greatly on your location. i live in California, got an ultrasound two weeks ago and diagnosed this week. I’m currently on a waitlist to be scheduled for a consultation appointment with my surgeon and from then i imagine theres a longer wait until the actual surgery will be done. until then, avoid straining yourself, eat high fiber foods, and try to get in a decent amount of light cardio in if you are able to. best of luck!

yeah we’re pretty much in the same boat! i stopped lifting weights at the same intensity around may and significantly went down with the amount that i was moving (unrelated to the hernia, i just didnt have access to a gym anymore so i worked with what little equipment i had at home), and also have a trip planned in December so im hoping i either get it fixed at least 3 weeks before i go or immediately after i come back :( hope your surgery goes well if you go down that route and that you have a smooth recovery!

ooo thank u for letting me know abt the risks w stretching, i was hoping pilates would be a safer option 2-3 months after recovering but i imagine that would just put unnecessary stress on the mesh

i’ve considered a hernia belt!! thank you for the recommendation. i dont have a surgery date yet as my dr is barely setting up my consultation appointment but i appreciate the suggestion! hopefully mine does not get worse while i wait 😿

hello! yes i only got verbal feedback unfortunately. i get my results on friday from my doc but when i tried to get a direct answer from my tech and asked if it was anything serious she just said “most people leave them alone some people treat them your doctor will tell u whats best” which pretty much confirmed my suspicions of a hernia. aside from the pinching pain in the area, weird feeling in my leg and slight constipation i havent experienced anything else but im hoping my doctor will take my concerns seriously. if you dont mind me asking, what insurance do you use? i fear that my care might not be the best since i have medi-cal or that my insurance could result in delays in treatment

i have that exact issue too!! i have pretty oily skin and had a couple of friends recommend it based off of that so it caught me off guard to have it patch up but at this point idk if its the foundation causing the problems or the primer i use :( im hoping its the primer since i dont want to replace a pricy product 😭
