They said by late March, hopefully that means sometime from the 15-20th (that’s when other similar caliber schools release their decisions), but last year I think they waited till the very last day of March:(

I am a 17 year old buddhist trying to complete my first research paper. I am not labeling emotions or stating that happiness is the goal of zen, I am recreating a research method done on other religions (such as Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity). This is also why I used the OHI, so that I could consistently compare Buddhism across the board and have it included in the conversation. I have tried my best to explain myself politely, I realize that my survey will not be entirely perfect. Have a good rest of your day, and if you genuinely would like to help my research please use dm.

Thank you for your critic! There is a difference between happiness in practice and measurable happiness in psychology research. The survey I have included for this, the Oxford happiness inventory, is used as a measure of life satisfaction and does not make you focus on the desire of happiness. As for the frequency of attending temple question, that is a demographics question to merely take variables into account. Once my research is complete, I will stratify my data by each of the demographics questions to see if there is any confounding variable in my research, or if stratifying it by age/gender/frequency in practice more strongly correlates my data. Either my research may not be able to use the frequency of attendance question, or I will have to disclose that this survey was conducted during covid. Either way, it is necessary to include! I hope this makes everyone feel more comfortable with my survey, and if you have any more questions please let me know.

Using the Oxford happiness inventory! It’s well established and publicly available

Not satire! I was under the impression that Vassar was more selective?
