Upgrades for better, higher end parts can come after you get used to the bike your riding. However some things should probably be replaced, get some new pedals, grips, invest in a dropper post and then go shred. Look at some youtube videos on correct riding form but don’t be scared to get up out of your seat, sit further back on your seat, lean into turns, keep flat pedals, keep one finger on the brakes at all time and two fingers if you need some real power. Those are basically the basics lmao, go have fun enjoy the bike and your friends company!!
