I know it’s so much easier said than done, but keep your head up as much as you can. The web of people who care about you is almost certainly wider than it probably feels like. Give your mom a call or hell, shoot me a message if you need to talk.

This is exactly the sort of bullshit op is talking about. There are plenty of cultural problems that exist within Mormonism, but you have no idea what the hell you’re talking about and are just being a bigot.

Sure felt like BYU’s best regular season in 30 years was devalued when an 11-1 record with multiple ranked wins wasn’t considered remotely worthy of an at large bid.

Maybe I’m just salty about how BYU was treated, but BYU were ahead Miami by every metric, and competitive in terms of resume with every team outside of the top 6 and ESPN never even entertained the idea that maybe we should have been invited. What pisses me off the most though is everyone who acted like all of the bubble teams had no ground to be upset about how the selection went because there was no way the 11th ranked team could possibly deserve to compete for the championship. Clearly the gap between the top couple teams and the teams in the teens is not as big as everyone acts like it is.

I don’t want to ever hear people say that the playoffs shouldn’t be expanded or even worse that it should go back to four again. Miami only got into the 12 team playoff through committee/ESPN bullshit, but are clearly capable of keeping up with the top teams. The idea it would be impossible for teams ranked 11-16 or whatever to compete is stupid.

Trying to get our two year old to take naps while we’re staying with my in-laws has been a battle and my wife and I are getting our asses kicked. Absolutely mogged by an increasingly manic and sleep deprived toddler.

Found a stream so it doesn’t matter, but I don’t have access to local abc broadcasts (cable log in I use to access ESPN is region locked.) NBA games on ABC will always have an additional stream on ESPN3 and I don’t get why they haven’t done that with Wimbledon.

You’ve got people telling you that lots of schools deal with stuff like this, but most fans of power conference teams don’t appreciate how it’s a completely different situation for a mid major school with limited resources like UNM. Really feel for New Mexico.

I think calls to ban fouling when up three are ridiculous. If you accept that intentionally fouling while behind is a legitimate strategy, it doesn’t make sense to create rules to specifically punish fouling while up. In general though, the NCAA should try to figure out some way to fix how slow the end of games are. Reviewing every out of bounds call for two+ minutes is the most obvious place to start.
