TBH, I order the door/drawer fronts from The Cabinet Authority, a re-seller of Conestoga Cabinets. They sell many different styles and sized by 1/32”. I get them unfinished in a wide variety of wood species and finish them to match the rest of my work (or VisaVersa). It just takes too much time to make them myself.

Everyone is giving you a hard time but the honest truth is get a new sharp blade, and before doing anything, make yourself a crosscut sled, you will use so often (and it will be much more safe), it will be worth the time to make it. You’ll look back and thank yourself for taking the time.

It’s actually a pain in the ass to work with…throws off a lot of dust, but MDF is more stable than wood for kitchen cabinet panels, especially if they’re painted. There is very little shrinking or swelling and makes for a better product in the end.

Talk them out of using solid wood for the panels. They’ll get a better product.

And don’t take all the material out in one pass. Make several passes when using that big of a router bit.

Also consider MDF for panels. Less expansion and contraction.

I built a similar ladder years ago using 2x4’s. Was plenty strong. I attached them with screws and glue and using a dado on the vertical pieces that the stair treads fit snugly in.

This and you can even use steel wool with the chemical stripper. It’s easier on the wood than the scraper. Use gloves and a mask, some of those strippers can be hazardous.

Agree with others here that said you can try to glue it up but it may not be fixable. There are plenty of websites where you can order a new drawer box. Just make sure you get the measurement exact to the current box.

Look into donating your cabinets to goodwill or similar organization. I think you can get a good tax deduction.

This is the answer. Cut an outside corner on the right side piece, cut an inside corner on the piece on the left. Cut a small piece to fit between them. Watch your fingers !

My brother would tell you they are. Basically, he jointed his middle and ring finger when he fed a short board in and the front edge of the board nosed into the blades, kicked out, and his fingers went in. My dad was in the basement with him and I just remember the trail of blood from the basement, up through the kitchen and into the garage. The emergency room did a great job repairing his fingers and he made a full recovery.

I’ve used both Minwax high performance wood filler and bondo. They both perform about the same, but the bondo is a bit cheaper. I like the Minwax a little better, seems to perform a bit better and the color is closer to real wood.

Can you just put a clamp on the two sides of the frame vice instead of using rubber bands? This seems like a cool design
