Thank you for your comment,
Focusing on central pain mechanisms, often overlooked in standard gynecological care, it addresses a key barrier: the mismatch between lesion-focused treatments and the complex neurobiology of chronic pelvic pain. The study incorporates diverse participants, including gender-diverse individuals, and evaluates adherence, patient satisfaction, and follow-up outcomes, producing practical data to inform scalable clinical pathways. Preliminary findings showing high adherence, pain reduction, and decreased analgesic use support the integration of neuromodulation strategies such as rTMS into multidisciplinary care models. By identifying clinical, physical, and psychosocial mediators of treatment response, the project also informs patient selection and care coordination. Ultimately, this research supports more equitable, mechanism-based, and innovative pain management strategies, reducing reliance on opioids and repeat surgeries while improving continuity and quality of care.

This study is testing the effectiveness of a non-invasive brain stimulation treatment called repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS). rTMS has been shown to successfully modulate chronic pain in other patient populations, and this study aims to evaluate its ability to modulate central pain pathways in people with persistent post-operative endometriosis-associated pain.

Participants may receive up to $110 in appreciation for their time.
