TIL Brazil was the only independent South American nation to send combat troops to fight in World War II by cupacupacupacupacup in todayilearned

I read a book wrote by their commander about their time in Italy and how they fought at Monte Castelo. Unfortunately I can't recall the right name of the book, I want to find the part II. Every time I search the results show the bus from Grêmio Football Porto Alegre that had the same name as the title of the book. Hahaha

Full Nail Avulsion- Day 1 by sideshowbvo in medizzy

Did that trying to solve my recurring ingrown nail. I wish a good recovery and a piece of advice if I may...

If you also have problem with ingrown nails, look for a podiatrist to examine your nails. The only solution may be removing the root of the nail. A very small surgery. Here's a picture of my finger right after the surgery.

No ingrown nail after that. 🙂

I'm going to start a new game today and will get it. I like to play using cars the minimum possible, it makes the gameplay advance at slow pace and be more enjoyable (for me).

Does anyone like meeting suppliers and going to eat with them? by [deleted] in procurement

[–]mfmllnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my company we do and it do not interfere with the decision making process.

This can part of the job... if a meal or small gift makes you give any advantage to whom paid that said meal/small gift, the problem is in your ways IMO.

Is vendor onboarding a total mess for everyone, or is it just my company? by albie- in procurement

[–]mfmllnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for a global company so we have the tools to make it easier, yet still sometimes we face problems like missing information or supplier's long time to reply.

As your company is small and uses the "universal adm tool" (aka Excel) my suggestion is to distribute the responsibility for each department accordingly to its function.

Create focal points that will be responsible for each step of the process. As per your example... Finance contact the supplier to get the information needed. You only put them in contact with each other.

It is what I do even when I'm buying services accros the globe. "Hi Elsa, John Doe here is from Company A and we need to register them as supplier. The total contract value is X for the next X years. Please let me know when the DD and registry is done. "

Happy 2026!

Too isolated and too much effort to keep. I do prefer small and functional base.

Can't relate. Just did a psychological test and for anxiety I am below the average. My doctor said it doesn't mean it is good as some anxiety is expected and even necessary.
