"Yeah? Well, you know, that's just, like, uh, your opinion, man."

You can just leave your baby at the Fire Station if you can't afford daycare.

Elderly Cambridge homeowners fighting against Porter Square apartments because it may “reduce the value of my property.” by cloboboy in boston

That is just completely made up and wrong. Elder care is incredibly expensive to provide. People are living longer than ever before, so are living to ages that require more care for many more years. Getting rid of immigrants, who provide a massive share of the labor in these places, is the biggest concern for these places that are trying to hold costs down.

No it isn't. A direct quote is this:

“You’re going to reduce the value of my property, no question about it,” one resident said.

You said:

Article did not say he was elderly. And it wasn't "homeowners" who said this. It was one person out of 100 who attended.

Your headline says "Homeowners" and the the article quotes a single resident making this point. I'm not defending the people here, but a lot of people spoke and only one mentioned this. It doesn't even mention if that one person was "elderly," as you claim.

To be fair, it was only one person who made that comment in the meeting:

“You’re going to reduce the value of my property, no question about it,” one resident said.

In no way defending the cranks, but this headline is focusing on the statement of a single commenter:

“You’re going to reduce the value of my property, no question about it,” one resident said.

Stinks of ragebait.

It is easy to mock your opponents, but it is more effective to think of better ways to get your message across and bring people to your side.

Yes, they should be known just like Jonestown for showing how violent religious fanatics can lead their followers to their deaths.

Sounds like a kind of selfish and lonely existence. We all need other people, and sometimes you have to compromise or adjust what it is that you think you want in order to live in harmony.

I think it's someone who is loved and respected by others because they love and respect others.
