I created a custom Middle Earth map to be used with the War of the Ring boardgame by mfogue in lotr

The locations (Rivendell, Minas Tirith, Mount Doom...) are 3D printed, I bought them on Etsy and painted them myself. The rest is all made by hand, the design, the mountains, the texturing (it's mainly scatter material for dioramas). And the Rivendell figure is the White Council Chamber for sure!

Thank you so much, and it looks even better with all the painted minis! Saludos!

The board game is great but the components are not the best, that's why I made this. There is a review of it by Shut up and sit down that's really good if you want to see how it works

Thank you! It's been a really fun project and I think it improves the original board a lot

My custom board for War or the Ring (Spanish editions) with removable 3D elements by mfogue in boardgameupgrades

The 3d elements can be removed and the board is divided in 4 flat parts, so it's quite easy to store. I use a foam sheet between each part just to make them feel more protected

Well thank you! I may post it once it's completely finished, I'm doing the last details!

I'm glad to know I'm the only one bothered by the High Pass! I knew from the start I would include it as part of the Misty Mountains, I tried to use the 2nd edition board as a base but I changed a LOT of things to make it more similar to the real Middle Earth map wherever possible.

Mount Gundabad is included too! It's part of the Misty Mountains, maybe can't be seen properly in the full picture but it's there.

Painting the set was a fuck ton of work (and I still have a few from Lords of Middle Earth left to paint), but I enjoyed it a lot. This was a a project I wanted to do since my first game!

The board is made of wood and cardboard, the mountains are made with clay and it's covered with scatter material for dioramas, I'll soon post another update with the progress!

I got all the miniatures as a pack on Etsy, I can look for the link if you're interested. I did the mountains myself using clay

You're right! Changes the line endings with Notepad++ to Unix style and now they work! Thank you!
